A lone figure scales the ancient bones of an elder dragon, in search of claw moss for his master assassins next poisonous concoction. The ribs of the ancient lizard now a permanent fixture in the Ikvarian coastline. A seven hundred year old mortal man sips from the springs of the White Heron, and is rejuvenated. Warrior monks craft flute-swords under the shadow of a stone dragon. A mystic stands at the steps of a shadowless monolith, the Akona current hundreds of feet above, twisting and writhing like the oceans, shades of green pink and crimson. He steps forward as the moons of Lete and Fell align, and he is transported hundreds of miles away to far off Mithiria.

 The world is a floating mass of primordial ooze, deceased astral dragons, raw elements all bound by a single gravity in space. The planet is a jumble of landmass, skeletons, water, astral flux; there are no laws of permanence here. There is no up or down. Cultures flourish much like maggots on a carcass. These are the humans and the fey. Simple beings floating ignorant through the cosmos on a one in a million chance of a world.

  Dragons are extinct. They either left the world, or were killed off by mortals. Some of their remains have become landmarks, their bones incorporated into castles and keeps, cities and monasteries. There blood is as much an element of the world as water, with what we would call magical qualities, but is just another part of the whole for the inhabitants of this one in a million world.
