Bringing Back Review Badges?

Seraph

It occurred to me that I have had a new review badge for my overhauled setting sitting around unused for some time now.

This got me to thinking whether anyone thought it would be worthwhile to try and revive the review badges as a practice?  As I recall, it did serve as a fun incentive to review--for a while anyway.

[spoiler]For those who were not around when review badges were common, they are little icons representing your setting that you award to people who provide you with particularly good, in depth, or helpful reviews, comments, and critiques.

When you received one, you'd put it in your signature.  This would make you look good, because you have a badge saying your were helpful, while simultaneously serving to advertise each other's settings. [/spoiler]
Does anyone think there would be value in this?

It should come back, it's a unique CBG thing.

Which reminds me, I'm still going through your setting, Llama.

Stargate525

I agree. I wish they would be icorporated into the 2.0 as a function in and of itself. Make them something unique to the guild.

I never had any setting badges... because I'm no good with graphics. But I'm up using them if/when I get another setting off the ground - that is if someone's willing to help me create one.

Cheomesh

I might make one for mine, eventually.  That is, once it's actually got depth to it.

Elemental_Elf

I've made a review badge for every setting I've ever made but few people use them. :(

sparkletwist

I stopped using them after it got to the point that I had gotten so many my sig was starting to look a little ridiculous. :P

But your sig would look like the Ribbons on a General (which is cool!).

Weave

I wasn't around for them, but I'd be interested in seeing them for sure. Not sure how you make one, but I'd definitely try to.

It's a 22 x 22 pixel image. You can make on it MS paint, though GIMP and/or Photoshop are easier.

You pretty much make an image of about that size, and/or to make sure it is the right size, set the img tags to width 23 and height 22

EDIT: E_E beat me to it.  And I guess it's 22x22 for a perfect square.  I guess mine was a pixel wider than the norm, lol.  But the height is the one that's really important, so that they line up next to each other properly.

Ninja D!

I wasn't aware that they had ever reallly gone away. They just became less of a big deal. I still wear a few proudly.

Seraph

They never "officially" went away, people just stopped using them.  I think being more active with them again would be a good thing.

I took mine down when I started noticing how many of them led to dead links. I've got that whole signature saved in a text file, though, so it can be back up at a moment's notice.
