O Senhor Leetz

I was thinking that the People's University would be in Edhazia, while the Republican University of Helgrav would be in still-to-be-developed New Volyar. but that is confusing, i'll change that.

Ah, thanks for the clarification! After typing my comment I looked at Sparkletwist's scholar's entry above yours, and I started to think that might be what you meant; so I added 2 words to that sentence and deleted my post here. I apologize if that stepped on any toes.

Ok. I think 2 letters would be better but it seems that the majority prefer 3 letters.

I prefer 2 as well, LD, but I don't mind doing 3 if everyone is for it.

Leetz: "The term was inadvertanly coined by Amaru Abrola II, Crown Prince of Edhazia, as he expressed his concern about who would be watching the bread if all the bakers were revolting."

That's a cute detail. :)

In the Bamptu article, did you mean to write "Westin" or are you placing the city of "Westin" in the country of "Westion"?

LD

If I understood correctly, the Argent Lantern is in Volyar.

New article up. Please correct me if I got my geography wrong.

O Senhor Leetz

yes, the Argent Lantern is a newspaper in New Volyar. as is the Choke-Ash Ward.

I took to the liberty to swap out Edhazia for New Volyar and the Glorious People's Revolution (which I think is exclusive to Edhazia) with the Burnt Bread Revolutions, which is a catch-all term for any related revolution. anyhoo, I hope I'm not over-stepping here.

sparkletwist

Well, it does lead to some confusion, because the Choke-Ash Ward article now claims that Amaru Abrola ordered the burning of the city... which doesn't make any sense, any more.

I think this game is the most fun when you use your articles primarily to make fun of your fellow scholars. :P

LD

Could it be possible that Amaru was accused of ordering New Volyar to be burned?

What I'm wondering is if New Volyar/Old Volyar was sort of a satellite state of Edhazia like a Duchy- in which case that would make sense. If it was independent, then I should alter my entry.

Your changes to my article are good Leetz. I just may need to change the Amaru citation pending sparkletwist's response to this question here.

Also, does Radavel contribute to the Edhazian Encyclopedia? Given Sohanna's recent comments, I'm a bit unsure if I should alter my statement regarding that proposition?

Re: Sohanna's newest article... That was to be expected- the retort went well. Haha :D

I like the Bauble Trolls, especially the darker aspects of them. Hope to see an article on the Corpse Artists!

Just a typo. Fixed.

Well, I do like the tie-in to Amaru Abrola's trial. Of course, I see no reason why the royal families of the various states need not be quite intertwined and intermarried, even if they are not formally vassals or satellites. Medieval Europe comes to mind. In that case, I'd think they were be in consultation, and the citation could easily be changed to something like:

"Transcript, Trial of Citizen Amaru Abrola, pp. 3-7 (detailing the burning of the city, allegedly carried out by the King of Old Volyar with the enthusiastic support of Amaru Abrola). It is this author's belief that the flames were spread by ignorant revolutionaries rather than by the military of Old Volyar."

As for Ravadel, in his background, it said he had been exiled from Edhazia. So I assumed that anyone who was spouting the official Edhazian dogma, as Sohana does unfailingly, would have nothing good to say about him. So I'm not sure about that.
