Weapons and Armour: Iron

Iron weapons have the following characteristics:

* Can't be enchanted through Binding magic.

* Armour is weaker (lower AC)

* Weapons aren't as sharp (-1 piercing and slashing damage) however the Guerin treat them to make them harder and heavier (+2 bludgeoning damage)

Weapons and Armour: Steel

Steel weapons are the normal ones in the PHb, available to the Aequii. The weapons available to the Aequii are:

Club, Shortspear, Spear, Longspear, Quarterstaff, Javelin, Sling, Light Hammer, Shortsword, Warhammer, Trident, Longbow, Shortbow, Whip.

Steel weapons deal +1D6 damage to fey.

Available to those living in Astalia (for extortionate prices) are new devices known as 'Firearms'. They use a recently discovered chemical known as blackpowder - extremely unstable, but also powerful. Although innacurate, they are dangerous beyond measure. All are exotic weapons.

Cannonballs cost 5GP per ball, bullets cost 40GP for a bag of 40 (1GP each). Gunpowder costs 50GP per 5 ounces.

Hand Cannon: The cheapest (and least accurate) of the firearms, the Hand Cannon fires hand-sized iron spheres called cannonballs. Although they are powerful and can damage enemies in a 10ft sphere around the hit point, they take 6 rounds to reload, and require 2 ounces of gunpowder per charge. A Hand-Cannon must be used two-handed. A Hand Cannon cannot get a critical hit.

Firework Gun: Small, light iron tubes, these weapons were adapted from leisure devices. The Astalian legion is equipped with several Firework Guns, especially in the Imperial Guard. They are deadly in small groups. They deal little bludgeoning damage, but depending on the firework used they can deal varying amounts of fire damage. They deal damage in a 5ft-radius sphere around their hit point. They require no gunpowder to work (the fireworks supply that). and only one move action to reload for someone trained in their use.

Accurate Gun: Extremely expensive, these weapons are restricted to the very rich. They require one ounce of gunpowder to fire, and take one full-round action to reload. Although still innacurate, they are better than other weapons.
