[ic]Weavend
The inhabitants say that the god who built this world was mad.  No, wait, they say he (or she, or it, or they, depending on who you ask) was frikkinâ,¬,,¢ insane!  The entirety of Weavendâ,¬'as far as any explorers have goneâ,¬'is a massive dungeon of not just human-height corridors but canyons and grand shafts stretching either way â,¬Å"upâ,¬Â and â,¬Å"downâ,¬Â into infinity, lined with smooth walls or unworked stone or a proliferation of balconies and bridges, perhaps containing floating islands or towers.  The rooms range the gamut from arctic to fire, containing oceans or forests or skies, perhaps lit or perhaps in darkness.  And the doors can lead anywhere, or nowhere at all, and they are all emblazoned with the same symbol: a circular spiderweb in the process of being woven together from loose threads.  The world even said to change from time to time, a door leading somewhere it didnâ,¬,,¢t before, a bridge that wasnâ,¬,,¢t crossing that gap before, an entire complex of rooms growing from just one.

The Weaver: She (or it, orâ,¬Â¦Ã¢,¬Â¦you get the idea) is not a god any of the people brought with them from their worlds.  It is a construct of their time spent in Weavend, an explanation for the creeping suspicion that something has not only created the insanity around them, but is still doing it.  They believe The Weaver is the one who does this, and puts her symbol on the naturally occurring doors of Weavend.  Some people claim that if you look at the symbol funny you may see something that looks like a map of the nearest portion of Weavend.  The Weaver often appears in the â,¬Å"nativeâ,¬Â legends of Weavend, representing the mysterious and the inscrutable, and people talk about The Weaver as if he was one of the gods they worshippedâ,¬Â¦Ã¢,¬Â¦Ã¢,¬Â¦though none do.  The Weaver is an accepted natural and deific force of Weavend, but viewed as a powerful cosmic imp with a possibly dangerous taste in amusement.

People and Creatures: Itâ,¬,,¢s unknown if anything living (or even animate) is native to Weavend.  Fortunately plants can grow out of the stone, and so ecosystems can exist.  The various peoples found living in its halls, caverns, and rooms generally have some legend about how their ancestors just woke up here, transported from their homeworlds to live out their lives in this endless labyrinth.  Creatures that probably wouldnâ,¬,,¢t even let each other live back home have cooperated over the unknown generations for mutually assured survival.  Mingling of limited bloodlines means that every individual likely has some odd genes floating around.  More importantly than any of this is that new individuals are always appearing, turning up out of some unobserved corner with no idea of how they got here and no idea of how to get back.[/ic]
[ooc]Weavend is a result of this fascination I have with the interiors of buildings and how there's always some corner that if you explore will open up into a hidden world (yes, it is very C.S. Lewis and the Wardrobe).  This isn't just some excuse to be able to run endless dungeon adventures: I actually think there's something mystical about the idea.
You may post all comments here.  This is the extent of the preadventure world information needed.[/ooc]
I'm a muck-levelist, I like to see things from the bottom.

It's a pretty nifty idea that you got there. I'd love to see where you go with it.
