What is the word on vehicles, such racing bikes? I was thinking my character could make some kind of cool entrance with one,  and maybe use it for cover if need be - I don't plan on actually driving around the arena in it.

I just want to check before I start to use my Modern character.

Do Gestalt characters purchase equipment as their level or as the level they compete at?

What is the ruling on any spell with duration of "permanent" or "instantaneous" with regards to pregame casting?
An example that i was thinking about were the spells that can create undead and awaken undead. since these are permanent, i could have theoretically have cast them a year ago and just been chilling with my skeleton buddies since then. If so though, i could bring nearly infinite guys into the field. Of, is there a limit on how many allies i can bring in?
I i have to do my animates in the arena, are corpses provided?

as you can tell, i'm creating a necromancer.
and not just any necromancer, he's a lvl 16 gestalt and has good casting abbilities in 3 classes. awww yeah.

Can I register a hombrew monster as an arena fight contestant?

I'll note that there are some definately un-fun matches available with monsters allowed, since monster CR doesn't always match up to character level.  In particularly, a solo match against the Tarrasque is likely to be quite...challenging...for nearly any single level 20 character -- a flying wizard with the right spell selection might eventually prevail, but nobody without access to Wish or Miracle can (I guess other types can bring a Ring of Three Wishes or the like into the arena -- the rewards per encounter are easily worth it, after all, and it's a good fallback at that level).

Should monsters be created/customized with the ignoble array (as is default) or with one of the less typical arrays, though?

You could gather a group of arena combatants to take on creatures. When the arena gets finished, now that Xathan is back it could happen. There could be matches that are random adventurers pitted against great beast. Or even random adventurers thrown into the arena and other beasts thrown in there as well.

As for things such as the Tarrasque, arena officials could cast wish or miracle to keep the beast down and in storage. Then they wish it alive again when needed to fight again.

Sure.  But in -theory-, a CRX monster should be an even-odds match for a Level X PC (or a "doable without too much loss of resources" match for 4 level X pcs).  In practice, however, some monsters are really designed to fight an evenly matched party of adventurers, and will tend to do better than their CR indicates in solo fights, I think.
