[ic=DM]Atefeh manages to locate the sniper.  He is on the upper level balcony on the same side of the hall as Beherm, about 60 feet from you.[/ic]

[ooc]Crit, you didn't indicate if you moved or not.  If you did, then your turn is up.  If not, you have a standard action and are standing in the open.

Hyaled can act whenever Atefeh finished.  Seeing as he's 300 feet away, I'm going to assume he's just going to be moving, should he choose to act, of course.  Rashine and Faridoon have yet to roll for initiative.[/ooc]

Numinous

[ooc]I mentioned in an earlier post thta I had plastered myself to a wall...  If that has been undone, I'll do so again. And then let the rest of my turn pass.[/ooc]

[ooc]Crap. As if I wasn't useless enough already what with the ranged combat. I am going to soak up soooo much damage in the next few rounds. Should I seek to engage them in melee, or will they be killed by the time I get to do anything? Is it a better idea to find/slaughter them, or to hunker down under cover and wait it out? Decisions, decisions...[/ooc]

[ic=Hyaled]Hyaled gives a great roar and charges toward the scouts, shouting curses in greek and farsi alike.[/ic]

[ooc]Just moving.[/ooc]

[ic Faridoon]Reacting to the cries ahead, Faridoon snaps to attention and tries to get his bearings.[/ic][ooc]Init:[dice]1d20+2[/dice][/ooc]

[ooc]Looks like snake is up again, seen as the others can't really do anything from their position.  At most, they'll catch up in 3 rounds, assuming they run the entire distance (they should be covering 120 feet per round, so in they'll be there in 2.5 rounds.)[/ooc]

snakefing

[ic=Behrem]Since Behrem ducked for cover without checking it out first, he'll start by checking out the area around and behind him, both to make sure he's safe and check for alternatives.

Assuming he doesn't find anything, he'll stay behind cover, listen and watch, and delay action in case he needs to cover Atefeh for something.
[/ic]

[ooc]Seems like I could spend my tactical token to improve my cover here? If so, I'd like to do that.

Added in edit: I'd also like to spend a move action studying the situation to gain another token. But since I'm delaying my actions, I don't think I can do that just yet.

[ic=DM]The archer is biding his time.  Both the archer and yourselves are on the same side of the hallway, meaning that neither can get a shot off until the other moves into the open.  The archer calls out "Parskakanner!" once again.[/ic]

[ooc]Clarifications:  The hallway at its widest is 35 feet wide, with the balconies on either side approximately 10 feet up, and extending over 10 feet of the hallway.  The doors on the bottom are on the far outside.  Thusly, Behrem , Atefeh, and the archer are unable to get a shot off at each other, unless one of them exposes themselves.  Everyone now knows where everyone else is.

Hallway Diagram (2nd floor superimposed):

"x" is the archer, who is on the second floor.  Obviously, this is not to scale.[/ooc]

snakefing

[ic=Behrem]Okay, Behrem is going to check out the nearest doorways on his side of the hall. Making sure there's nothing there that would allow anyone to approach us from that direction.[/ic]

[ooc]Are the balconies cantilevered, or supported from below by posts or pillars? Any chance anyone could climb up from below?[/ooc]

[ic=DM]The balconies are supported by cantilever wooden supports, some of dubious strength.  There is a small railing, closer to a wall, rising on the outside of the balcony.  Climbing up its rough stone face should be no problem.  Geting to it requries a small feat of acrobatics, however.[/ic]

[ooc]Yet another scale ASCII hallway... just pray I don't pull out a grue.

As an aside, I wish the monospace font would work for this, but it doesn't like to, so I had to use the fugly code tags...

As another aside, I need to get my scanner working with Linux... I can draw simple crap like this easier than using Notepad to make it.[/spoiler]

[ooc]Grue, okay. Just so long as there are no little twisty passages.

[ic=Behrem](To Atefeh) Want to give me a leg up? I don't know if I can jump up and grab the edge by myself. If we stay away from him, he won't have a good shot at us while I climb unless he leans out. But I'd need some distraction once I'm up there, or he could make a pincushion of me.

Or maybe one of the stronger guys should go up there? I'm just afraid there may be others by the time they get here.[/ic]

[ooc]Weak supports, eh? How weak? Like brutally dryrotted by the sun weak? I'm thinking we bring the archers down to us, rather than climb up there... but it all depends.[/ooc]

[ooc]Inventive little scamps... :P

If you want to find out how weak it is, either make a Strength check or attack it.  Just be sure to get out of the way quick, 'cause could very well fall onto you.

A little extra information on Strength checks now that its come up, you can push yourself to the point of muscle strain.  Basically, you take 5 points of damage for a +2 bouns to your check.  You can gain additional +2 bonuses for taking additional 5 points of damage ad inifinitum.  You cannot, however, use this action and then use it again before healing the damage caused by it.

And there's only one archer.[/ooc]

beejazz

[ooc]If he's not dead by the time it's my turn, it may just be more efficient to attack the thing. With a bigass falchion. Or something. I dunno.[/ooc]
