Well the thread is about that; rules systems and our preferences.  Not how to GM.

I'd argue that the rules system is worthless without a DM who can run it effectively.
One should never discount it...Nor would I gainsay it...it just is not what the thread is about.  One can say any system is such; or say some systems are easier or harder...

It is a worthwhile topic...for a different thread.

That the same rules designed to reduce the role of the GM and to empower the player also destroyed the autonomy to create a consistent setting. And more importantly, these rules reduce the Roleplaying component of what is supposed to be a \'Fantasy Roleplaying game\' to something else\"-Vreeg

Again I disagree here as the comment in question was directly relating something I look for in game systems (things that encourage teamwork) but now we are getting a bit off topic (not that this bothers me the cbg has always been more stream of consciousnesses than anything else). Anyhow the point is that I value encouraging active teamwork and relationships in a game and personally see that as something that has to be tackled from two directions (the rules and the DM).

I have a tendency of getting off topic all the time, so a little diversion doesn't bother me for the thread :D

This is the view I take on teamwork. While either rules or the GM alone can accomplish good teamwork options, it's still nice to have the rules handy, especially with newer players/new GM's.
