Steerpike's Cat and other Beasties

Some of my players asked me to post a pic up of my cat after he totally ruined a CE session this morning by spilling a full cup of coffee all over my desk, destroying my keyboard.  I tried to transfer my notes over to my laptop, but I accidentally transferred a copy of the game log instead (it has a similar file name), and by then I'd shut down the computer by accident (the keyboard had everything screwed up, so hitting "enter" somehow turned off the computer - I couldn't even sign back into my desktop properly, as the keys were too screwed up to type the password).  So due to my cat screwing around, the entire session basically got sabotaged.

Anyway, here he is.  His name's Tesla and he's about a year old.  His breed is basically unknown, but I like to pretend he's half Nebelung as he looks quite a bit like one...

Looks a little Russian Blue to me.  Cute cat!

This is Chai.  She is a silver mackerel tabby who was born in a lumber yard.  Her interests include crackers, squirrels, being stretched, and drawers full of socks.

This is Alie, my 10 month old Irish Setter pup. We got her when she was 4 months. I call her "happy butt" because when she sees people come home she wags her tail so much she shakes her whole rear end. My family has a history with Irish Setters, and Alie is our third, after Abby and Anni.


Here's Alie in action. She loves the snow more than anything. She's also the only dog I've ever known to like citrus fruit; she goes bananas for mandarine oranges.


I used to have a cat named Nicky, but she passed away almost half a year ago, alas. She lived to be a good 16 years old, though, so she seemed content. I also have six hermit crabs, but there a little less interesting than Alie, to say the least.

My girlfriend has four cats. Since she lives with me, they live with me. One is pressed up against the back of my legs as I type this. Anyway, the youngest is named Sookie. She's named after the main character from True Blood, I guess. I had no part in naming any of them. Two of them are named after Pokemon (Pikachu and Mew, yellow tabbies from the same litter). Anyways, Sookie is the one I have a picture of for you now. She's a couple months short of a year right now and this picture is a few months old. After she was spayed, she had a cone put on her neck so she couldn't chew the stitches. The cone wasn't working for her. She kept running into things. My girlfriend made her a kind of full body suit that would keep her from getting to the stitches but be more comfortable for her. It had been made from the sleeve of an old long sleeve shirt. I looked at that and I saw opportunity. This is the result:



I suppose I should add that Sookie here is what cat people call a "torbie" she's part brown tabby and part tortie was is and offshoot of calico. She looks mostly tabby here but as she gets older, more and more orange shows through.
