I'm not sure if anyone here has any interest in iam8bit.com, but, well... it's probably not a good idea to buy anything from them if you care at all about customer service.

I have a friend who ordered some music on vinyl from them. The record showed up damaged, and they refused to do... well, anything. No replacement, no refund, just an empty and meaningless apology. Their reason given was that he opted for media mail, which is the cheapest option and the customer apparently carries significant liability, so it sucks to be you if your product shows up damaged. They also claimed they "never recommend" this option. The problem is none of that is actually on their site. What is actually on their site when you go to order is just this right here. Media mail is the default option, with no warnings about any of this given. It just looks like an affordable way of shipping the product. And that kind of makes the whole thing seem pretty shoddy, I'd say.

The whole thing is on twitter of course.

After being called out on Twitter and there being a mini-explosion, they did agree to do the right thing.  :yumm:
