What's new? Well, the news! (Finally...)

It's November, and that means it's National Novel Writing Month. So, write a novel this month! Or do like most people do and try to write a few words and end up getting busy with other stuff and not finishing but... it's still fun, hopefully.

Anyway.

There is quite a lot of hacking of Pathfinder going on lately, with Hoers starting Yet Another Pathfinder Custom Class Thread, and also collaborating with Polycarp on an E6 variant they're calling P6.

Kaptn'Lath has also gotten in on it, with "Wayfinder," a bunch of additions/alterations to Pathfinder.

Even I (sparkletwist) have made my contribution, with a Warlock ported from 3.5.

Not all the crunch is Pathfinder related; Kindling has also started a thread about a Dark Silver game system.

LoA (formerly known as Love of Awesome) has been a rather prolific poster lately, with a new setting called Eff, the Wontabulous World of Esprits as well as some interesting thoughts on gods, cosmology and balance.

Mason is also back with an interesting new setting called Echoes of an Empire.

Elven Doritos is starting a new forum game called Kingless Countries, as well, though it hasn't been updated in a little while.

More news as it happens! As usual, if you have something going on, feel free to let me know and I'll add it to the news. Unless you only post about your own stuff, then I'll just laugh at you.

Magnus Pym

You've never laughed at me openly though and I do neglect posting on other people's threads, even though I read this site every single day.

You're more kind than you let people know!

A quick comment on this!  Still in the works, and definitely happening.  I grew ill in the middle of last month and have been playing catch-up with work and school since then, so there's a good chance things won't get finalized until my papers and finals are over.

I've been using the opportunity to brainstorm and retool some of the mechanics and ideas behind the scenes and I hope to present a more complete system when I begin posting anew.  This should avoid any risk of each mechanic ending up as design-by-committee, as a more or less complete system will be in place.  Stay tuned!
Oh, how we danced and we swallowed the night
For it was all ripe for dreaming
Oh, how we danced away all of the lights
We've always been out of our minds

Ninja D!

The Game Master's Guide to Kaidan is out now. That's kind of news, and pretty cool to see it get so far after seeing a younger version of the setting here many years ago.

Those are about 60 days old though. Or do I detect sarcasm? Haha!

Don't worry, there will be actual new news soon.

(And I'll try not to have it up for over half the year like the last time...)
