I want to make a WW1 game, which do you recommend?

Oh sure, I wasn't trying to say you should accelerate all the technology to a 1940s level, just that lots of mecha rampaging around would probably end trench warfare pretty fast, I think.

Quote from: LoAMobile Defensive Fortifications is probably a better idea.

This sounds cool. What about like gigantic mobile fortresses which are effectively huge mecha? Like 40K Titans, literal moving castles.

Oooh... I was thinking more big dorky looking tower shields on legs, but that's actually not a terrible idea, but I would definitely make them quadrupedic. If you're going to break the laws of physics, at least do it in a way that makes sense.

Also how do you guys feel about Nuclear power coming earlier? I was thinking that some mecha could be run on early forms of Nuclear engines like a submarine.

Nuclear power would lead to nuclear weaponry, which may or may not be in tune with the rest of the setting. Since mecha won't make much sense from real engineering POV anyway, you can have their engines running on whatever. Although a power source that doesn't need frequent refueling would be desireable if you intend them to go on long missions away from supply lines.

Paragon * (Paragon Rules) * Savage Age (Wiki) * Argyrian Empire [spoiler=Mother 2]

* You meet the New Age Retro Hippie
* The New Age Retro Hippie lost his temper!
* The New Age Retro Hippie's offense went up by 1!
* Ness attacks!
SMAAAASH!!
* 87 HP of damage to the New Age Retro Hippie!
* The New Age Retro Hippie turned back to normal!
YOU WON!
* Ness gained 160 xp.

Sorry for not posting sooner, schools being a pain.

You are right in a sense, however, if you research what went into the Atomic Bomb, it was a crapshoot it was ever invented. There was a component to the bomb that was so illogical that no one thought it was going to work but it did. Maybe in this universe there is a race to weaponize atoms, but no one has stumbled on that weird glitch that made it possible.

Personally, if you're going for the whole World War I steampunk/dieselpunk feel, I'd forget about nuclear power. It just doesn't fit the ethos. Then things start becoming "Atomic!" and it feels more 50s.

Alright, you're correct. I just wanted this to be somewhat grounded.
