I was confused about Erilon's HP (I thought you meant 32 total, silly me, I didn't think to check or add it up).  So it's at 7.

Another nat 20 (surprise) and subsequent critical against Sharpeye brings him to 9 HP.

Without his Dex bonus (and therefore Dodge bonuses too) Erilon's AC is 10 + 4(armor) + 1(shield) + 3(natural) + 5(deflection) + 8(Monk/Wisdom bonuses) + 1(Rapier bonus) = 32

So, 17 damage brings him to -10 HP exactly, killing him.

Now, I would assume that after killing him, you'd want to redirect your arrows at Orbis, but none of them would his him.  Or, since it only took you one attack, you don't have to take the Full Attack Action and you still have a Move Action left.  I'll hold off on Orbis' turn until you decide.[/ooc]

Son of a-  I just realized, in looking through Orbis' feats, that he has Mobility.  Curses!  Oh well, I think all the attacks that have hit him have been nat 20s anyway, or part of a non-AoO attack.[/ooc]

You added the bonuses in your critical threat damage, I thought you just multiply the base dice not the bonuses?

srd: "Extra damage over and above a weaponâ,¬,,¢s normal damage is not multiplied when you score a critical hit." -from the equipment section where it describes the table headings.

I've only been multiplying the dice and not adding strength bonuses, if this is wrong let me know and I will correct it for future criticals :)

Edit: Maybe I will take sharpeye as a companion since his master is dead. :P

Critical hit damage is usually double damage, which means rolling damage twice, just as if the attacker had actually his the defender two times. (Any extra damage dice, such as from a rogue's sneak attack or the special ability of a flaming sword, are not rolled multiple times

[ooc] From the "just as the attacker had striked twice" I guess you do add your strength bonus, stuff like my oath bows +2d6 wouldn't be multiplied. I will use the strength bonus from now on.
