Anyone still play 3.0?

Curious as to how many people have decided not to upgrade to 3.5. Seem like we've gone from dying breed to officially buried.

Numinous

I got into D&D during 3.5, but I rarely play anything at all.  Sorry, but the longer 3.0 goes on without new official material, the less people will play.

And quite frankly, the breed is not-so-much "officially buried" as "Resting Unpeacefully" ;)

I DO!
I never really adapted to 3.5.  A few things I've picked up here and there, but I am still based in good ole 3.0.

I was waiting for you to respond, Seraphine_Harmonium.

What have you picked up from 3.5? I've been thinking about using the ranger and a few other things, but I'm wary of making too many houserules.

Fullmetal_Alchemist

Well, I started playing D&D with 3.0 and 3.5. I mostly use 3.5, seeing how many supplement books they have for it. I like some things within 3.0, but I love 3.5 better.

There aren't really that many differences between the two of them. A few additions, some changes, restatting of a few monsters and clarification of rules as well as reorganizing and slightly extending the content of the Core books. That being said, it's not 4e. Thanks to www.d20srd.org and errata, 3.0 and 3.5 are more or less the same, and it's not hard to "upgrade".

I just tend to call my stuff d20, even the campaigns I run in established settings. The reason for this is (especially in homebrews), I change a lot of the stuff to suit my own needs. For the sake of the thread, I started on 3.0 (technically 2.5 because I was introduced through Baldur's Gate), but for simplicity's sake I've become accquainted with 3.5.

Then we share the same D&D-ancestry. :)

"Then shall the last battle be gathered on the fields of Valinor. In that day Tulkas shall strive with Melko, and on his right shall stand Fionwe and on his left Turin Turambar, son of Hurin, Conqueror of Fate; and it shall be the black sword of Turin that deals unto Melko his death and final end; and so shall the Children of Hurin and all men be avenged." - J.R.R. I'm still solidly rooted in 3.0 myself, though I'm looking through my copy of the 3.5 SRD for stuff to use. Take what I like from that, and use in 3.0, and I'm happy.

Wrexham3

My campaign's 3.0 with the addition of the 3.5 Ranger class.  The 3.0 Ranger was pretty weak IMHO.

Kalos Mer

I've mostly updated to 3.5, but I stubbornly cling to the old rules for damage reduction... I don't care if it translates to "you must be this level to fight this monster."

Nah, i just use 3.5 currently. I really like the way it's working at the moment.

But enough of that. On to the important question.

Does anyone still play 2.0?

I began with it, but haven't played 2.0 for like ... idon't even know. ages at the very least.

I tried to organize a 2.0 Forgotten Realms one-shot adventure about a month ago with people at my university who (like me) started gaming in that 'era'.  Sadly, it never materialized.

I still play pseudo-2.0 whenever I play Baldur's Gate or (more frequently) Planescape:Torment, though.
