I dreamt I went to the movies, and the first movie on the marque was "Morally Ambiguous Star Wars." I thought, "well that's interesting" and bought a ticket. My cousin showed up and we wound up seeing a completely different movie.

I dreamt that all my schoolfriends from six years ago had been frozen at the age of sixteen, and were now attacking a lab to get their ages back, because Gordon Brown wouldn't let them vote.

I also have recurring dreams about possessing telekinesis. I'm not sure what that's all about.

Me too!

And as for whoever mentioned Gordon Brown... have you noticed that thing he does, he'll like pause, and breath in really horribly, vaguely like a fish? It's the most disgusting/amusing thing...

Yes, it is quite strange.

He scares me in general, though. It does amuse me, the way he talks to President Bush, though.

I'm in a cabin. My parents are here with me. This place belongs to a killer. A psycho. He wants... coins? Two dimes, two pennies? Something special about them. I have them. Can't let him find them. He's outside for now. How long? I don't know. he's walking his dogs. The dogs... don't think about that. Don't think about them. Oh god. I think I saw one out front. He's coming back. Must leave now. Out the back door now. Crap. It's an open field. Gotta get out of sight. Woods to the left are closer. Woods straight ahead are easier to hide in. Which way? Don't worry about that yet. Think while I can still run across the field. Wait. I know what to do now. Left. Fast. Can't be in the field. In the woods now. My eyes open. Did I do it? Is that my music I hear? My blankets are too hot... blankets? I did it! He can't hurt me if I'm not dreaming. Wow, my heart is really pounding. I'll get a soda, those calm me down for some reason... There we go. Back to bed now.

Ok, so I just had one.

I dream of a Ninja Werewolf.  He is running along the side of a street at night (in a modern city).  He is very skilled at climbing and has a superhuman jumping ability, which as long as there are either things to jump up to, or he is travelling in an overall downwardly path, might as well be flying.  As he runs he reaches a point where the road becomes an overpass and the ground runs out.  So he leaps onto the back of a passing OGRE, which unsuccessfully tries to reach him and brush him off.  But the Werewolf Ninja climbs onto the ogre's head and "pilots" the ogre by pulling on its long blonde hair in strategic places.

He rides the ogre as far as he needs to, until he reaches his departure point, at which point he leaps off the ogre, and lands on the side of a support beam for a tall overpass (a bit like the one he left before).  This is one of many overpasses winding their way through the city, skyscrapers all around.  He is about to leap down from the column down onto one of the passing automobiles below, when in a flash of light a creature appears.  Floating amongst the skyscrapers is a "Unicorn" but this is unlike any unicorn one would imagine.  While a single spiraling horn does indeed sprout from its head, this creature bears no resemblance to a horse, and very little resemblance to a goat.  It more closely resembled a cross between an Asian dragon and the big shaggy flying dog thing from the Never-Ending Story.  This is Ninja Werewolf's enemy.  But this enemy is far too powerful to attack.  Instead, Ninja Werewolf hides, climbing up the column, keeping it between himself and the unicorn, then hangs as he clings to the underside of the overpass, hiding and waiting.  Finally, in another flash of light the unicorn vanishes.  Now safe, Ninja Werewolf drops to the earth and bounds off into the night.

I just had a dream that had a whimsical protest song in it. I forget the words to it, but the idea behind it was that the singer was saying how he wished he was a fish, since fish don't have to deal with war. He then went on to wish that fish were... fabric, I think, so that he wouldn't have to worry about "chemical right and wrong" (referring to water pollution killing fish).

Aside from the fabric part, I think it's a rather interesting idea for a protest song. The fact that it's not specific to any war helps make it versatile, so I might try writing up something like that.

Despite having never been to New York, I dreamed about being there last night.  It seemed to incorporate elements from Washington DC as well, because I remember I kept thinking about how weird playing Fallout 3 was going to be after this, since I would be able to compare the monuments in real life to those in the game.  I was going to a school in New York/Washington, featuring tremendously vast libraries, and my grade 12 history teacher was one of my professors.  The classrooms were particularly cavernous and I remember getting lost a lot.

Llum

Ok if we want to talk dreams here we go :p

One in a hotel that was the size of a mountain, thousands of feet tall, wide, etc. There were about two dozen pools. I could fly in that dream.

I've dreamt about my university and highschool both being mountain sized, just going to school in these huge places, travelling from class to class. This is semi-recurring.

I had a dream where as a class trip we went ski'ing on Titan (the moon).

I've had post-apocalyptic dreams where I had to run from giant monsters, or killed giant monsters. Had one where I was the servant of a evil Strong AI who gave me telekinesis to take over the world in a war with other more benevolent Strong AIs, I fought and killed (the help of some friends with rocket lauchers) a huge rock golem in this dream too.

Several dreams about this city on the coast thats also a mountain side. To get to the top you had to take a giant zeppelin. Lots of the city was a huge graveyard with some undead.

Had a dream where me and my oldest friend (I've known him the longest) were in a war against a sentient pool of acid with a huge army of cyborns/aliens/soldiers. It was very Halo-ish.

Had a dream where I was forced to become dean of Engineering at my Uni, even though I'm only done 2nd year. Threw a big party.

I've had several dreams about a huge city, where I really just drive around and visit places. The city is vaguely reminiscent of the one I live in.

I often get stuck in elevators that drop me off on the wrong floor, no matter what I do (in case you were wondering, yes I do have to use elevators in these giant mountain-buildings).

These are all dreams I've had relatively lately (past couple months?).

Sadly I don't get my favorite dream anymore, the falling dream, I'm sure most of you have had it. You jump off a skyscraper (in my case) and wake up just before you hit the ground. I love this one.

I remember a lot more of my dreams, but they're mostly from when I was younger, so they involve cartoons :p (Bump in the Night. Samurai Pizza Cats)

Steerpike

[blockquote=Llum]I remember a lot more of my dreams, but they're mostly from when I was younger, so they involve cartoons  (Bump in the Night. Samurai Pizza Cats) [/blockquote]Heh yeah I get this too.  Whenever I watch TV later at night I end up with dreams based on the shows... the other night I watched an episode of Entourage followed by an episode of Buffy, and that night had a dream in which Johnny Drama was a vampire...

SDragon

Over a year of inactivity here, but I figured I could dredge this back up. I suspect this dream may have been partly inspired by the short story I started last night.

I remember that myself and some other guy-- I want to say he was a partner-in-crime of some sort-- were thrown into an odd cell in some asylum. We noticed that there was this very large control panel on the same side of the cell as the door, but because the door was recessed away from the rest of the cell, the orderlies never saw it, and weren't even aware that it existed. Oddly enough, I remember that it proudly displayed that it was running some sort of *Nix software, though I don't remember what (I do remember it started with an M, and I don't think it was anything that actually exists). We found out that the panel controlled the far wall-- an outside wall-- in a manner similar to a complex garage door, possibly providing a way out. We quickly set the panel back to normal, as orderlies were coming to give us our medication. When I saw the 10-20 large tablets filling the bottom of the med cup, I refused to take them, demanding to sign a refusal form when they tried to tell me that I had to take the pills. My partner, unfortunately, wasn't aware that he had such an option, and took his medication. As I slowly awoke, I added detailed information on each pill to my demands.

Im at the bottom of a well.
Its very deep. The stones
are smooth, no foot holds or hand holds
there are egg shells beneath my feet. Wet
and sticky embryos. Leaves dry and crackling
begin falling into the well. The light above
is now spotted by the dead flora falling.
If I had a match or a torch I could burn this place up
embryos and all. I decide to dig through the leaves and sticky yellow life Ive trampled beneath my feet at the bottom of this well.
