For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Ishmayl-Retired

Darkxarth, don't forget to place in the Tavern somewhere a "signature item."  Or if you did, and I missed it somehow, maybe mention in your write-up somewhere?

Hope you like it here,
Just don't let these guys,

When we get annoying,
Which happens quite often,
Be annoying too,
And our hearts will soften.

If ever you're bored,
Just show up online,
We wash away boredom,

Is it cool? Listen bud-
It's got nothing but gamer blood.
Can it live on a thread?
Yes it can, it's never dead.
Hey there! This is the CBG.

Wealth and fame, never seen-
Though they sound really keen.

Would an outer plane, say Pandemonium be acceptable?

Ishmayl-Retired

If you mean to place your tavern or event in, then yes.

This isn't an entry, but for fun you can look at this post on the Tower Inn. There's a few other interesting things on that thread too.

I think I may have a comedy entry brewing in the gray matter.

Xathan

Oh, I have to enter this contest. I'll get started on an entry ASAP.

PS: I like the twin challenge of putting in both originality and genericness into the same Inn - two things which are very important in a contest like this.

Everything I think of winds up sounding like the Floating Vagabond.  There are, however, differences between cross-gen and generic settings.  To the extent that the Floating Vagabond was a setting and not just a bunch of joke books, it was certainly cross-gen.  Trying for generic, here... let's see what I can manage.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Jharviss

I'm really enjoying creating a tavern that is both original and generic.  It's a little counter-intuitive.
 :morons:

Ishmayl-Retired

I'm relatively sure I explained both of those terms accurately in regards to this contest ;)

Jharviss

Yes yes, in terms of the contest you defined them in ways that makes them easy to seperate.

Nonetheless, putting Originality and Genericness in the criteria is rather funny.

limetom

You mentioned that it could either be a fantasy or science fiction tavern.  Would a "modern" (à la d20 Modern) tavern be acceptable?
