Hey, it could happen.  I think membership should be a monthly fee, not something big but just $5-10 a month.  That covers the 5-10% discount, the hot food and the nice rooms.

If we really want to go all out, it could be a hotel with the bottom or top three floors being gaming rooms and the rest regular rooms.  This way people can have over-nighters.

Better yet, "standard" and "premium" memberships, at different costs. Maybe have Standard be $5/month, and Premium be $10/month? Of course, the Premium members would get more (and/or better) benefits....

Edit- Of course, now that I think of it, "memberships" might create some sort of implication of exclusiveness.....

I wouldn't worry about that.  There are membership cards to just about everywhere now-a-days, so having a "membership" here wouldn't be such a big deal.

The issue I see is that for somebody to need a membership use the nice back rooms, does everybody in the gaming group need that membership or just one person?  If it's just one person than it kinda screws one person, but if it is everybody then groups become exclusive.  It's a funny bit.

I'd say everyone.  However, if a DM purchases a membership (be it premium or standard) the players of his group get discounts on a membership, like one month free or something.  One free month per person, no exceptions.
