technically speaking that's more a problem of bringing a blade to a gun fight. :P

Quote from: epic meeboWell, that's not entirely true. The guy with a chainsaw for a hand would be the most likely to survive the apocalypse. Especially if he happens to be Ash Williams.

true, but what happens if you aren't ash williams and you run out of gas?

You missed the point. The sword guy can't speak English, so I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that, in his own language, he was starting a nitpicky observation with "Technically speaking..." when Indy shot him.

Actually he was saying "I can kill Chuck Norris". If you slow the video down by a factor of a million you can see Norris roundhouse kicking him to death.

Also, this is pretty cool (granted it's a slowed down practice drill, but still fun to watch).

Meh, slow speed gun disarming training rarely impresses me, to be honest. Try watching this and saying "bang" whenever the gun is pointed at the defender; after awhile, you start to realize that there's really too much action required to disarm a gunman in safe time. Even if all you do is slap the arm away, all he needs to do is twitch his finger, which takes noticeably less time.

Also I am guessing you have never fired a pistol or at least don't do it commonly. Most gun triggers have too much pull on them to just go off with a finger twitch. In fact the best way to get out of a mexican standoff is to just shoot the other person since getting hit by a bullet will take away their ability to pull the trigger (and again unless it's a hair trigger it isn't just going to go off). A rapid disarm will have the gun out of line with the body too fast for the gunman to depress the trigger (and a really good one will pull it out of line with their arm so they can't press it even if they had plenty of time).

anyhow... now I feel is the time to echo those important words...
