Red Valor: Ferindor's Grave (In Character)

[Captain Obvious]

[ic=Jae'kal]Entering the common room, Jae'kal sits at a table and pulls a flask of purified water from his belt and takes a sip.
"Where am i from? In truth, nowhere. Or else, anyplace I have been to in my travels. Now, were you to ask where i was born, well, it was a small town west of here. Born there yes, but never given the chance to live there. Besides, it's long gone into ashes and memories..." He takes a long swig from his flask, then mutters "Hells, I lit the torch myself."
He stares into space for a moment, then continues, "But that is in the past now, and the future holds new stories, such as your own. Would'st you spin your own tale?"[/ic]

[ooc]If the soldiers are still there, I go to a table well removed from their and partly in shadow. While speaking to Raynor, i keep an ear out for their conversation and scan the room slowly for anything that seems amiss.

[ic=Raynor] "I'm just a simple blacksmith. My tale is short and boring." Raynor looks to the door and then the staircase, wondering were the other two are.[/ic]

[ic=Aromel]A few moments later the inn door swings open and Aromel enters, his head safely kept dry in the confines of his cloak's cowl. Leaving the door open for Sunetos, the elf heads over to where Raynor and Jae'kal and takes a seat across from the newcomer. Pulling back the hood of his cloak, the elf sighs and turns his attention to Raynor.

"We have a problem. The gnomes are being hunted by Black Talon soldiers, and one of them has been poisoned. If he doesn't recieve an antidote in the next few weeks, he will perish. I have been told where to find such an elixir, but the journey will be long..."

Glancing at the hilt of Raynor's sword, Aromel lets his eyes settle on the blacksmith's face. "I need someone skilled in the art of melee combat. I see you have a sword, and I assume that you know how to use it. If you wish to accompany us I can assure you what you'll experience, and possibly earn, will make the journey worthwhile. Besides," the elf grins, "I could use some friendly company."

Turning his attention to Jae'kal, the elf gives him a curious look. "I know you from somewhere...were you one of the ones I missed?"[/ic]

[ooc]ElDo is sick, but he asked me to tell you all that the Black Talon soldiers are no longer in the inn lobby.[/ooc]

[ic=Raynor]"I have practiced with a few. A blacksmith can never know the quality of a blade, unless he knows how to use it. If you need my help, then you have it." Raynor looks at the elf quizically. "What do you mean 'One of the ones you missed'"[/ic]

[ooc]Oh no I have spread my illness!! [/ooc]

[ic=Sunetos]Sunetos enters the inn, and glancing around, takes off his cloak.  To Raynor and Jae'kal, "Hello, my name is Sunetos.  I trust you are to be accompanying us on our suicidal mission into the southern swamps?"[/ic]

[ooc]P.S.  there was a previous elf description, I don't feel like repeating it.  It should also be noted that my depression and pessimistic attitude is purely IC[/ooc]

[ic=Aromel]"I was a marksman for the Clockwork Army during the war. Sometimes I missed."

"If you're so certain that it's suicidal then don't go." Aromel sharply replies as he twists around in his seat to look at Sunetos. "But if you want to help us undo the evil which has been wrought upon another by the Black Talon, then don't complain."

Breaking his gaze with Sunetos, Aromel comfortably sinks into his seat, resting a hand on his chin as he tries to remember where he's seen Jae'kal before.[/ic]

[ic=Jae'kal]"We have met indeed, Aromel. I'm suprised you would have forgotten. We seem to always seem to seek out the same places. Although, with our pursuits, there are a limited number of avenues to find the knowledges we seek."[/ic]

[ic=Aromel]Aromel frowns as his name is mentioned, but after a while he simply shrugs. "I'm sorry, I can't recall where I know you from...I've met a lot of people over the century..." After a few more moments of contemplation his face suddenly brightens, and with a grin he points at the man. "Jae'kal! It's been years! What are you doing this far east?"[/ic]

[ic=Raynor] "Huh, small world. I was with the first Clockwork Army as well. I mostly fixed equipment, but there were times the lefttenant would ask for my sword." Raynor's face becomes grimace. "Have you heard of the second Army, and what they did?"[/ic]

[ic=Sunetos]"I told you it was pointless..."  the elf then stands, kicks over a chair, and storms out of the inn into the rather dismal storm outside...[/ic]

[ooc]Oh man, me too. If you guys are still up for something, i'll get one of my adventures set up and run you guys through it. I'll make a start on setting it up and you guys lemme know if you want to continue.
If y'all want to do this just post it here for now. Also, if anybody has a preference of what level they want to start at tell me that asap. (i have an idea i want to try out for a short adventure, but it's higher level (like 13 or so). Or i have a rough campaign in the works that could go from like 1 to several into epic but you could be inserted into it at several points.)
