BIZUMP! Come now people wouldn't you love the collective weight of the community behind your setting for a week. I bet you do. Sumbit your world to the random die roller, and for critique and the developmental love of the Sable Cabal.

Just asking, how much development does a setting need for it to be acceptable? I have a setting (see sig) that is still in the "ideas and themes" stage. How much further must it progress to be eligible to be added to the die roll?

Worlds in all stages of development are eligable. In fact worlds that are less complete and underdeveloped are much easier to help with. I dont envy the poor souls who get either my setting or the Jade Stage to review...that's a long read either way.

K, i'll add mine then. Who should I give the Core Ethos thing to?

QuoteSo, do we have to wait for them to submit their main-core-ethos-spoiler dealies or do we just start by going to the homebrew section?

Sorry I missed this question Wixman. We do not have to wait for them to write up a core ethos thingy. We can begin the review without one. Although it would be nice to get a nice core ethos statement from the get go, we won't cry about it if we don't.

The core ethos thingy is more for the new sticky at the top of the homebrew forum. It's a quick sum up and a link to your main thread and/or discussion thread (that hopefully every serious world builder will embrace). The sticky will aid those seeking a good read, give them an idea of what each homebrew is about before they delve in too deep. Some people might read the core ethos of Shadowfell (for example) and go WOW I want to read that one!

Add it to the first post in your main thread (like an intro), and PM a copy with a link to your main thread to Ishy. Ishy will add your core ethos to the sticky, and the reviewing begins!

True; there's a lot of information there to digest.

The Jade Stage's current incarnation is very conversational in format, and I'm not sure whether that helps or harms its "flow" for reviewing purposes. I guess we'll see, when the dice deem it appropriate.

Yeah, even though I'm a little out-of-date on Shadowfell, I think very soon, I'll go ahead and submit anyway, once i have a chance to get a few more posts up.

Glad you're back LC.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Thanks, Ishmayl. I got my last student teaching observation done Thursday, so I'm going to graduate after all. Maybe I can actually spend a little more time around these boards nowadays.

So I guess tonight I'll roll a die for the settings that are up there and then tomorrow I'll post a new news article, as well as have links to various threads the author wants to share (website, CBG discussion thread(s), etc).  I'll also email the "winner" and ask a few questions about what they want the article to say.  Sound good everyone?  Oh, and the reason for a Monday post is, I think it'll be easier for everyone to have a Monday ---> Monday submission, so that people have a chance to do some heavy reading over the weekend (I'm on the site more over weekends than weekdays, for instance).  If you guys don't agree, just let me know, but I figure realistically, it doesn't matter which day we do the weekly submission on.

I think it sounds like a great plan. Can't wait to see which setting is first up.

Elven Doritos

Even though I'm in the midst of Project 1301 (see my page or the Red Valor thread), I'll throw my hat into the ring for official review.

EDIT: Is it too late to get involved? I just now read the top post.

No, it's not too late, I'll add you to it when I do the rolling tonight (probably in about an hour or so)
Cheers, and welcome back ElDo
