Okay, so I'm on some stupid computer at school and I can't figure out how to make this scanner do what I want it to, like rotating this image 90 degrees. BUT! This is my happy fun rough draft of an image I've been wrestling with for a long time: a proper logo for the Jade Stage.

This image is an ambigram, meaning that it reads from more than one direction. In this particular case, the text has 180 degree rotational symmetry, so if you stand on your head and read it upside down, it still says the same thing.

I really like the rune-like qualities of some of the letters, and the shape formed by the "EST" in the middle of the image. Some parts still need a little tweaking (such as that pesky A=G character), but I am really excited!

My plan is to superimpose this text over a side-on view of my flat world, so that when you turn it upside town, the text stays the same but you're looking at the hostile wasteland on the bottom of Marebo instead of the lush oceans of the top.

Mainly, though, I just want to brag about my fun ambigram.

Edit: Okay, the image has been fixed.

Not gunna lie, that's a really sweet logo, and idea too.  I had a teacher in high school with a poster that said "life" and if you flipped it upside down it said "death."
Thrice I've searched the forest of sanity, but have yet to find a single tree.

Belkar: We have a goal?
Roy: Sure, why do you think we're here?
Belkar: Well, I just figured we'd wander around, kill some sentient creatures because they had green skin and fangs and we don't, and then take their stuff.

It looks great, I love it! Obviously, it would look better with either of it's proper orientations, but I'm sure you've noticed that ;) lol

It should be fixed now, so you can view it properly.

My favorite one on the site I linked in the Tavern is "Have a Nice Day!" which, when read upside-down, is a vile and loathsome malediction.

I was looking at that link you threw out there with ambigrams and generally I wasn't very impressed.  This, however, is a very impressive image!  I like it quite a bit.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

If you're developing an ambigram-based puzzle for them, shoot me a PM and I'll lend a hand with the ambigram. I've been on a real kick for them lately.

Think you could get a puzzle where the ambigram is turned 90* to either orientation (like yours was), and turning it one way makes it say "sinner", while the other way says "saint", and, depending on whether the PC has a good or evil alignment, would unlock a door turned one way, and explode the other?

Also, This isn't really for a game puzzle, but I want to suggest an ambigram to a friend, for a tattoo. Do you think you could get one that says "irish" one way, and "pride" the other?

Keep posting more, it looks like you're doing good so far. I don't think I could handle anything more complicated then a horizontal axis...
