Hey y'all. just started playingthis Civ-type browser game the other day and it's really cool so far.

 This is it.

It seems very much like something that people here would like, so i

1: Would defenitely reccomend it to people. It's lots of fun. It's a slow running game that after the initial setup you only need to check a few times a day. Lemme knoww if you start.

2: Was wondering if anyone else here already plays? If so where are you? My town is at coordinate 10:62 in the delta world and is called Tevatropia.

anyways, anyone interested? lemme know if you play in my world (delta).

I play on World Kappa. It was the only one I was able to sign up on when I started playing, every other one on the list gave me a "world too full" error.

How'd you find out about it? I got into it because I play ogame, another browser game by the same company and they circulated emails when Ikariam came out.

i was told about it by and irl friend of mine. he found out about it and then got me and a few others to join.

Funny you should mention Ikariam.  I found it a couple days ago and have been playing it.  I have like a lvl 6 town, but I'm in Gamma.  Do you guys know how to control the whole island?  I want to conquer like crazy.

not sure but i figure to need to make a good sized army and research governors so that when you defeat a town you can occupy it instead of just pillaging

I almost feel bad in that game.  I befriended like 4 people and betrayed 3 of them.  The last one is on a different island and my key to sulfur, so it's only a matter of time before I betray him.  Wow, I sound like more of a jerk when I say it out loud than when I just think about it.

I'm pretty sure you can't take over a city. Attacking players is really just for resources.

Edit: Also, I haven't really bothered to make any troops yet. The amount of resources you lose when you get raided depends on what level your trading port is in that city. A level 1 port loads 10 goods per minute I think, and an attack lasts for 20 minutes so the most someone can pillage from you is 200 goods (money doesn't follow this formula) per attack. Basically I've kept all my colonies at level 1 trading ports, and I get attacked so infrequently and lose so little that I can just shrug off the losses. I have a settlement on a crystal, wine and marble islands so I also basically am self sufficient, and don't need to raid others.

once you have researched some upgrade (i forget what it's called) you are allwed to occupy a town by beating them and then installing your own governor. your obtions become pillage, blockade or occupy.

It's actually called governor.  I'm working my way up there now.
