Turning around slowly while shifting his weight forwards with a frightening glare in his eye, the young shaman faces the kiag and his consort, growling in a shaky voice, "You will not destroy this sacred place tormentor of souls. I can't fight you to do this, but by all the things that I love, " Zan says in the kiag's language, "I will stop you. "

Thx. Sorry to have to spill out all the things I should have picked up on.

Eats brains here! Ugh!
That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.
"To obtain a deep, restful, and fulfilling sleep, you must first submerge yourself in your cyclopean city of hideous non-Euclidean geometries beneath the sea, and then let your body die. But don't worry! As long as you continue to emanate enough evil thought-energy to influence and control your many worshippers throughout the untold eons, they will resurrect you when the time comes. I guarantee it!"
Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive."

(as Stegosaurus) "We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land'."

(as T-Rex) "I think we should call it...your grave!"

(Stegosaurus) "Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"

(T-Rex) "Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh...now die!"
No! penury, inertness and grimace,
In some strange sort, were the land's portion. "See
Or shut your eyes," said Nature peevishly,
"It nothing skills: I cannot help my case:
'Tis the Last Judgment's fire must cure this place,
Calcine its clods and set my prisoners free."

[ic=Kieru]"I felt the power, but I also felt a force of sorrow." Kieru hastily replies, pulling the hood of his cloak over his head while the sound of rustling feathers falls upon he ears. "Power is better when weighed with knowledge." In an act of dexterity coupled with years of practice, the nyamm holds his staff across his arms as he slips his hands into the cowl of his cloak, knotting his blindfold without removing the hood from his head.[/ic]

Zan & Kieru: Garak (the kiag) roughly says to his companion "I agree, but in this..." realizing that Zan was speaking to him, he turns around and glares up with his yellow eyes. His bald, clawed hand erupts with purple lightning that crackles in the air. "I'll kill you."

Zan & Kieru: Without warning, the Kiag lets loose an ear-splitting shriek and the purple energy in his hand leaps forth toward the shaman.
Zan must make a reflex Save DC 15 or take 7 electricity damage.
Either of you may roll initiative.

Kianak: The green tea smells wonderful and Puluv gets up to tend to the stew. "I never said it was the mountain itself, I doubt stoneheart has any motives to speak of. However, it would be quite easy for anyone who drank the elixir to bend fate in such a way. Do not despair though, it is unlikely that such a being has unlimited power. Even a mortal can move a mountain with enough perseverance."

Seeing Garak preoccupied with this new foe, Kieru seizes his chance. Whirling to directly face Garak, Kieru's fingertips point directly at the kiag as a blast of freezing wind erupts from his palm. Not leaving a moment to chance, he quickly follows up with his staff, releasing a gust of wind powerful enough to rip the soil from the earth...

Combat: Garak, seizing the opportunity, lunges forward and draws his gnarled club, swinging outward in a wide arc. Zan tries to leap backwards, but the blow beats his left arm with a nasty crunch. (no in-game penalty) 6 damage.

Targeting Garak, Kieru manages to hit Zan with a huge blast of icy wind. 3 cold damage to both Garak and Zan. Numb and out of breath, Zan realizes that his wings are frozen stiff and are likely dead.

Flinging a burst of air from the end of his gnarled staff, Kieru also manages to hit Garak first, but the powerful Kiag holds his ground and simply takes a few steps toward the nimunbella (line ends).

Garak screeches "Watch your aim!"

It's Zan's turn.

Kianak: The tea slides down your throat, you aren't much of a tea connoisseur but it tastes a bit off. Puluv walks over to another cabinet and takes out a few stone bowls. "Eggplant and fish. I have a small garden out front and I can catch a good supply of trout further down the river. I'll make sure to save some for when you leave."

Walking back over the the fireplace, Puluv changes the subject. "Though my eyes see far, I cannot see where you are from. Do you have a family to return to after your travels?"

Z&K: Garak cringes and clutches his bald, crimson head with his unarmed hand. Clearly effected by the foul spirit (1 damage), the kiag glares at Zan and mutters "I'll enjoy your death." Lunging forward, the muscular kiag reaches for Zan's throat with a clawed hand. Catching Zan's neck, the nimunbella manages to pry the kiag's talons off just long enough to leap backwards. Garak's claws cut shallow lines across Zan's neck, but he is repelled for the time being.
