[ic=Kieru]Hearing Garak's words, Kieru's mind races. Apparently this shaman wasn't as potent as he passed himself off to be...without him, he would stand no chance against his mentor. Rushing to the side, Kieru extends his staff in Garak's direction a second time, letting loose yet another potent gust of wind. "That is enough!"[/ic]

Zan: Garak is hit by a large blast of wind, knocking him back against the wall, but doing little else. His head swings around to Kieru and no longer seems to care about you. "Little hatchling thinks he can take the eagle, does he?"

Kieru: As your "mentor" takes a step away from the wall, you hear a grinding noise from behind him. Stone rubbing against stone...

It's Zan's turn.

Zan will place himself more beside the doorway (if he can) and try to slip out of Garak's grasp.

Otherwise, he'll try to defend himself.

Eats brains here! Ugh!

And with strange aeons even death may die.

[spoiler=Cthulhu]"To obtain a deep, restful, and fulfilling sleep, you must first submerge yourself in your cyclopean city of hideous non-Euclidean geometries beneath the sea, and then let your body die. I guarantee it!" [/spoiler]

[ic] Kianak takes another drink. A mother, a father, and possibly a few more siblings depending on how long I travel. There is still much to learn, so I don't expect to see many of them again. They wouldn't want me back if they ever learned what happened. I have brought much dishonor to my name. Kianak gives a low mournful sigh then takes another drink from his cup. What is this tea made from? It doesn't have the same taste as we make it back home. Similar, but something is different.[/ic]

[ooc]Wix: You took 9 damage total, you should have 2vp. Also, you aren't in the grapple (see my grapple variant and the flavor text in that post) so I'll assume you do a full defense.[/ooc]

Kianak: Ignoring your question, Puluv stirs the stew quietly and then speaks in an uneasy tone. "Kianak... I want you to know that everything I've said has been true. If you have the strength to face the darkness, try to remember my words..." Your vision crosses and then gets blurry, you suddenly feel like you've stayed up all night. Please make a fortitude save, DC 10.

Garak: Stepping back from the stone wall, Garak glares at Kieru and grimaces as he is tormented by the foul spirit. (Another 1 wisdom damage) With much force, Garak's arm swings downward. As his blow connects with the rocky soil, the earth erupts in a line of destruction, like a giant claw smote it. Ground shaking, the line blasts under Kieru's feet, sending shards of rock flying upward. Zan can see the earthquake continue and smash the miner's meteorite into shards of ore.

Kieru: Please make a reflex save, DC 15 or become prone and take [dice]2d6[/dice] damage from the debris. A successful save halves the damage (round down) and keeps you on your feet.

[ooc]Reflex Save: [dice]1d20+2[/dice][/ooc]

[ic=Kieru]Twisting his body to the side, Kieru manages to avoid the majority of the debris. As the flying rocks whirl up and about him, an invisible barrier keeps the harmful stones at bay, but at a price. Clenching his teeth in concentration, Kieru's barrier falters and diminishes into nothing, leaving some of the remnants from the blast to bounce harmlessly against his cloak. Breathing heavily, the nyamm gives one more push, thrusting another blast of freezing wind at Garak before falling to one knee.[/ic]

[ooc]Fortitude Save (DC 6): [dice]1d20[/dice][/ooc]

[ic=Kieru]"You fool...without me, you'll never gain your precious power." Pressing on his leg with a quivering arm, the nyamm manages to stand, his body uneasily swaying as his staff slips down his hand to rest its head against the earth. A slow grin spreads across his face. "If you want to see me dead, then so be it." With the flutter of his cloak the Kieru brings his bare arm into the sunlight, his white hand slipping behind his head. "Make your move, buzzard. I'll take you with me."[/ic]

Combat: Using his own shield to deflect the freezing air, Garak looks up and his eyes widen as he sees Kieru's exposed arm. It's Zan's turn!

Kianak: Puluv ashamedly looks at the floor under heavy eyelids. Your head begins to fog up and you have an incredible urge to rest your head on the table, if only for a moment. "I'm sorry... this is my home. If I don't..." The words become muffled for a moment as you shake off the drug. "...come for me. I'm so sorry." You get a full turn then please make another save, DC 12.

Omg, an arm!

[ic=Zan VP: 2/7 HP: 0/4]
Yeah, Zan is good. He'll probably take a full-round action to not be beside Garak anymore. I'll go off to the side limping, possibly near the rune wall though, if I can.

Garak: Both eyes on Kieru, Garak doesn't even notice Zan slip off in his brain-damaged state. Trying to keep on top of the situation, Garak says in a scratchy voice "You're bluffing. I have an exit." With a powerful push, Garak's wings extend loudly to their full size, casting off his custom-fit hides. Crouching, the bald avian readies himself for flight.

Because Kieru's ready action never activated, it is his turn and initiative order remains the same. It's Kieru's turn.

Kianak: Puluv turns away from you and walks into the kitchen area. Your eyelids droop but you manage to keep them open.
Just a little longer... You have another full turn then you must make another save DC 14.

Combat: Garak laughs a laugh that no longer has an element of fear. "You have no strength remaining! I can see it in the way you shake. I could crush you with a thought..."

Suddenly, the noise of grating stone becomes much louder and stone wall behind Garak begins to show incredibly small cracks in it. The cracks look odd though, like lines of a doorway, shaped like a disc. A single, vertical crack runs through the disc's center. Garak unwisely turns his back on his apprentice and folds his wings.

[ooc]It's Zan's turn. At this point, whether there is still a "threat" is unclear. Garak might very well turn around and incinerate you both, however, either of you may decide to "end combat." If both of you do, then combat ends.[/ooc]
