Okay, I'm game.

Retaliation in the form of THWACKS!

Edit:

Never been a huge fan of the Avett Brothers, but the Ben Folds is golden.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the person in that video you have a crush on is:

Am I right?

Almost!

The Gideon's Press song is pretty sweet-- I'm going to have to check that out more thoroughly. I'm also glad you posted the Batman thing, because I didn't want to be the first person to get silly up in heah.

The shame is, Gideon's Press is not around anymore. :(  They changed their name to "The Illustrated Band" back in '04 or so, and I played keyboards with them in a benefit show they did in Georgia.  They broke up after their next album.  Both the guitarist/writer (Michael Blake) and the drummer are doing solo projects now, but nothing of the sort that is like GP/tIB.

And there's nothing silly about Batman.  EVER.

I like that "Waiting Through the Afternoon Song," and you can never really go wrong with David Bowie.  I'm curious, did Vanilla Ice really do that remake, or is that someone else?  (I don't know enough about Vanilla Ice to know if that was him or not, or what he's up to).

If you like both Jazz and Radiohead, this is for you
Live version of one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands.
More Ben Folds
Phish songs can be really long! (Yes, that's parts 1, 2, and 3 of the same song)
If you like awesome bass guitar and jazz, then you already know who Bela Fleck and the Flecktones are. (Another 2-part song... I like long music)
Clap for Pat!
Full circle

Kindling, very interesting...very 'see it here first'.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oyGJOzDSgio <---saw them a week or two before they split up. One of the three best live acts I have ever seen.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yTek70IJwME <---absolute ch00n

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xQMMWe2L_ME <---another of the three best live acts I've seen. Having been at a live show this video seems a bit flat - there's a physical presence to their rhythms that just picks you up and shakes you around.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AbJH7p_JUDc <---just plain massive,

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PQ9uIzhf2ak <---the third, and also probably my favouritest band ever. The only halfway decent video I could find of them from the show I saw them at. I came out of there with footprints on my thighs. Immense.

EDIT: Now let's see, what other aspects of my taste in music do I need to cover? Lol. Well, I guess I should post some old ragga-jungle, some 2-tone, some dub, some old gypsy swing, some early 90s trancy stuff (Eat Static! W00t!), a big fat slice of punk, some noodly soloing jazz, and a wallop of Vivaldi. Or not, I can't really be bothered, but now at least I've mentioned it all :P

Or maybe "see it here quickly before it becomes worthless"

I saw some drunken diagonal-fringe kid in skinnies the other day wearing a t-shirt that said "girls heart breakcore" and it made me feel offended.

Although it is a bit rich of me to be elitist about it, I've hardly been with the scene since the beginning, in fact I'm not even with the scene, I just listen to the music a lot. A very lot, haha.
