glad you like him. i chose to give him arcane archer levels, because the ability to bend the shots around corners would be seriously creepy in a city, but your way is more streamlined, i think. ;)
i really like the mute orphan idea. every sniper needs a good spotter.
one sidetrack question: why wheellock guns? historically speaking wheellocks were very expensive to manufacture and not very suited to harsh treatment, forcing many people to keep using matchlocks until the flintlock was perfected. :)

I would think that murder holes and arrow slits would play a huge part in battles...
