Since we've lately had this trend of inserting images in posts to complement descriptions, I've got an idea. We could have a thread where we collect pictures that are inspirational to our settings - as well as sharing other pictures that might be useful to other CBGers. It would be interesting to try and express the spirit and feel of a setting through a set of images, to give it a "face" in a way that words alone might not be able to. At the very least we'd be providing a source of inspiration to each other by sharing awesome pictures.

Do you think this is a good idea?

I think it's a great idea!  I'll go first.

(Note: I'm taking "inspirational" to mean "conveys the tone even if the exact image or scene wouldn't appear in the world".)

That's what I meant, too. Not that it'll hurt if the image does produce a visual matching the scene you imagine :)

Wow. Great idea.

 Check out www.conceptart.org for mucho inspirational stuff. Great site with lots of industry professionals. The forums are an incredible resource. I always browse around when I'm feeling burnt out, especially the Environment of the Week thread, and the Character of the Week.
