Llum

So I started reading it. I've only read the first 50 pages. It's ridiculous, I wanted to throw the book at a wall within 20 pages.

Why you may ask? Contractions, they aren't used in speech for 11 books (I had just re-read all 11 to get back into the groove). Within 20 pages there are two different characters who use them.

On a side note, I found book 6 the worst of the series, by far. Knife of Dreams is one of my favorite books.

Now, I can't really say anything final until I finish the book, but I'm somewhat iffy about the choice of Brandon Sanderson. The man is a genius when it comes to plot and ideas (See ending of the Mistborn and Warbreaker). However I find that he has two major weaknesses.

First, I find all his endings suffer, not 100% sure why, but they always seem of lower quality then the rest of his novels. Hopefully this shouldn't be a worry because Jordan wrote the end of the series before he died.

His second weakness I find is his prose. While not bad, I really find it sub-par compared to a lot of other authors in this day and age. He does get better (compare Elantris to Warbreaker) but I still wish he had another 10 or 20 years experience behind his belt.
