Now that Urbis is this week's campaign showcase, has anyone here actually read the setting? Or at least started to read it?

And if so, what's your impression?

I've read and commented on it before, but you have an enormous amount of material on the setting. I have a bit of catching up to do, but I'm definitely planning to give a review by the end of the week.

I assume that's why Urbis' comments are slow; people have to do a lot of reading before they're in a position to make all but the most superficial of comments.

If you want a hastily made comment, here ya go.  Urbis is a great idea, and very innovative considering the nature of most fantasy world's in that they (usually) possess large quantities of wilderness.  I look forward to reading and giving you a more in-depth review later.  I actually tend to be a bit of a scavenger though, picking a section of a setting which was passed over by other reviewers, and then highlighting my opinions on it.

So, did curiosity kill you or make your day? :P

I must agree; from what I've read, it's amazingly-well detailed, with lots of wonderful points... but quite frankly, it's waaaaay too large for me to read and submit serious reviews within 1 week ;)  So, it may take a bit longer before I post anything useful.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Double posts make me cry with sads. :(

You know, I will amend what I said earlier: The setting is broken down into pretty manageable chunks, and actually flows pretty well when read.

You wouldn't know that at first glance, so I expect people will still get spooked by the sheer volume of it all. But it's not like scaling Everest or anything.

What do you suppose the chances are that you can post more of the world here (in particular, parts that you want discussed more) as opposed to just linking to your web site?

I can do that - but be aware that these posts can end up being very lengthy...

Still, if no one minds, I'll do it.

Oh, that's perfectly fine... since your world is already so developed, I wouldn't advise posting the entire thing over here (unless, of course, you want to!), but maybe particular items that you want discussed, would be a good idea.
