Quote from: Soban_KiithSaI was going to have the Atlanteans be extremely advanced in terms of physics, to the lines of Quantum Field Theory mastery.  So they have things like Vacuum Energy, particle beams, and probably antigravity.

Uh...
Technology that uses the instabilities of the fabric of space-time at the sub-plank level.  Stuff like that.  (quantum physics is a hobby of mine)

Nope, Blizzard's CEO hinted in a press release that both of the projects were still on, and that Starcraft II would be the first of the two.

Maybe there was a war between the two and they sank each other.

Quote from: Soban_KiithSaWait...your a college student making 6 GRAND A YEAR?!?!!?  How the heck do you manage that?  I could upgrade my desktop in no time with that kind of money.

Sixteen hours a week at $8.00 an hour would net you after taxes, in most states, $5,700.

Nice, once I take the last test to earn my MCDST, I'm submitting a resume to the Computer and Network Services office at my school.  I worked there last year through my school's work study program, but they dont let students work there for work study anymore.  Aside from it being on campus (and me not having a car), the other benefit is the tuition discount, so my parents are actually harrassing me to go and do it.

I'll take on NW Africa and Japan while I'm at it.
NW Africa, I am probably going to extend Atlantean Civilization onto, and Tunisia might have some can-shaped indigenous people.
Japan, I am probably going to hit up a good amount of non-modern and non-mecha animes.  So expect Samurai, Ninjas, 12 year olds with magic powers, pirates, and zombies.

I personally fail to see the point in playing WoW.  You pay money to get the game software, and then pay more money every month to keep playing.  And I get this horrible feeling that this is the new trend in gaming, and that Starcraft II and Diablo III are going to follow this pattern.

Having level 1 spells take that long to recharge is a severe slash on a mage's power.  I mean, 1d20+spell level?  Most combat doesnt last 12 rounds, so level 2 and above spells on average will be used once/combat.  Could you imagine a battle with only one fireball or lightning bolt?

I ran into the problem of creating original gods for my setting, and found a rather interesting solution.  I'm running another game in the setting, but the player's are playing the gods.  They created the gods, but this has read to some rather interesting ones.  Around 90 percent of them are blatant rips from animes and video games.

Hmmm...a whole fleat of submersible cities, with the main city in a cavern in the continental slope...I like it!

Actually, the Atlantic works rather well.  I'm thinking a large submersible city that roams around the North Atlantic, and has an underwater port on the coast of Morocco.
