The Game Master's Guide to Kaidan is out now. That's kind of news, and pretty cool to see it get so far after seeing a younger version of the setting here many years ago.

I'd say just don't worry about the initials being similar to something else. That will always be the case, even if you don't know it. Otherwise, I think where they came from could make a difference. It could impact whether they establish themselves as a straight republic or more of a confederacy under a federal government.

As for the railroad, I think any such system would probably have to start small and grow. If there aren't a lot of places they want to transport things and people, there would be no reason for it to be expanded beyond a certain point.

Fallout New Vegas is still my absolute favorite game in the franchise.

I could have sworn the D20 Modern/Future system had something I liked for quadrupeds, but I haven't looked at it in years and don't remember the details.

I guess that works.

Ever come up with something closer to what you were looking fo?

When they tried to make it a social media sites for games? What a joke that was.

I hadn't been active there for years, but I was still sad to see them go.

The Dragon's Den (Archived) / Re: Domain Name Registrars

WordPress also did not cost extra from Blue Host. They also give easy access to other kinds of forum and blog and other software with no charge.

There may be better options than Blue Host. I don't know. I know there are some that are slightly cheaper. But I have the experience with Blue Host and have had no problems.

The domain name is registered through Blue Host. I have the WordPress software installed there, it's not on the WordPress site itself.

Simple Machines did not cost extra. It, along with WordPress, is available free and it will even automatically install it for you.

I can't answer all of your questions as any sort of expert but I have some experience here and will tell you what I can.

I once considered registering a URL through WordPress. I looked around and decided it was too limited for the price.

I now have my site (darkfuturesfiction.net) through BlueHost. I pay only slightly more but can do whatever I want with sub domains while the main site still runs WordPress. Most of my stuff is on WordPress installed on there but I also have a Simple Machines forum installed on a sub domain and there are many other options. That also comes with unlimited email addresses.

Also, if you go with a normal website registrar, avoid GoDaddy. Their politics are shady, to say the least. I think the CBG even ditched them.

I greatly enjoyed my time with SIG.

Quote from: LordVreegNo one's going to complain about how long it takes to get free, highly appreciated art.
A thousand times this. A friend of mine volunteered to do the cover art for the first annual anthology of my zine, free of charge. I didn't get the piece for probably four months but now everyone loves it. If what you're doing is worthwhile and you're not dealing with some kind of professional business contract, time shouldn't really matter. And, from what I've seen, what you're doing is well worth the wait.

If it's something you'd do, I'd add you to a very short list of people to talk to before advertising when I'm looking to hire someone to do artwork for my publishing endeavors. I run a sci-fi / horror literary zine and may publish some novels or anthologies in those genres.

Take that, Paula Deen.

(I've been convinced for a long while now that she's really just Cthulhu in a human suit.)
