Harrower
The Harrower is a master of using telekinesis as a weapon.  Not only can she use her telekinetic powers to manipulate objects, she can also use them as a weapon capable of dismembering her foes.
Hit Dice: 1d6.
BAB: Average.
Saves: Will Good.

REQUIRMENTS
To become a Harrower, a character must fulfill the following criteria.
Base Attack: +3
Skills: Concentration 8 ranks
Manifesting: Power point reserve of at least 1.

CLASS SKILLS
The Harrower's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Autohypnosis (Wis), Bluff (Cha), Concentration (Con),  Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (psionics) (Int), Listen (Wis), and Spot (Wis)..

Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier

CLASS FEATURES
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: You gain no new proficiency with any weapon or armor.

Manifesting: At 4th, 7th, and 10th level, you gain additional power points per day, an increase in mainfester level, and access to new powers as if you had also gained a level in a manifesting class to which you belonged before you added the prestige class.  If you had more than one manifesting class before becoming a harrower, you musy decide which class to add each level for the purpose of determining power points per day, mainfester level, and powers known.

If you were not a member of a manifesting class before becoming a harrower, you gain no benefit.

Telekinetic Lancet (Su):At 1st level, you gain the ability to use telekinetic force as a weapon, called a telekinetic lancet.  You attacks as if the telekinetic lancet was a melee weapon.  However, you use your Wisdom bonus instead of your Strength bonus to determine bonuses to your attack and damage rolls.

Your telekinetic lancet deals 1d8 points of damage (crit x2).  Additionally, your telekinetic lancet has reach and can strike opponents 10 feet away.  Unlike most other weapons with reach, it can be used against an adjacent foe.

Your telekinetic lancet is weightless and cannot be disarmed or broken.  As a projection of your thoughts, it is always considered drawn.  A telekinetic lancet is considered a magic weapon for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

Telekinetic Thrust (Ps): Starting at 2nd level, you can use telekinetic thrust as a psi-like ability once per day at a mainfester level equal to your class level.  At 5th level, you can use telekinetic thrust three times per day.  At 8th level, you can use telekinetic thrust five times per day.

Deflection (Su): Due to your intrinsic knowledge of telekinetic powers, you gain a +1 deflection bonus to your Armor Class.  At 6th level, your deflection bonus increases to +2.  At 9th level, your deflection bonus increases to +3.

Telekinetic Dismemberment (Su): At 10th level, you may attempt, as a full round action, to dismember, decapitate, or otherwise kill a creature within range of your psychokinetic lancet.  You make a single telekinetic lancet attack at your highest base attack bonus.  If the victim of this attack fails a Fortitude save (DC 10 + Harrower's class level + Harrower's Wisdom modifier), he dies.

_____________________________________________________________

ENLARGE LANCET [PSIONIC]
The range that you can reach with your telekinetic lancet increases.
Prerequisite: Telekinetic lancet
Benefit: The range of your telekinetic lancet increases by 5 feet.
Normal: A Harrower's telekinetic lancet has a range of 10 feet.
Special: You can take this feat up to three times.  Each time, your telekinetic lancet's range increases by another 5 feet.

DESIGNER NOTES

1. I'm still not sure about balance/power-level issues.  Any help would be appreciated.

CYMRO

QuoteTelekinetic Dismemberment (Su): As a full round action, a 10th level Harrower may attempt to dismember, decapitate, or otherwise kill a creature within range. The Harrower makes a single telekinetic lancet attack at her highest base attack bonus. If the victim of this attack fails a Fortitude save (DC 10 + Harrower's class level + Harrower's Wisdom modifier), he dies.

is that range 10 feet?

limetom

The range is 10 feet or, if you took the Enlarge Lancet feat, up to 25 ft.

CYMRO

QuoteIf the victim of this attack fails a Fortitude save (DC 10 + Harrower's class level + Harrower's Wisdom modifier), he dies.

Is that not automatically a 20 + wisdom mod?  Or do you mean the Harrower's total class levels?

i dont know anything about psionics, but these seem a little.... i dunno, weak. at very least without the manifesting requirement, a character could apply for this as early as level 3. isnt that a bit quick  for a PrC?

I'm pretty sure a 3rd level character cannot have 8 ranks in Concentration.  In fact, you must be 5th level or higher for that.

You can't have 8 ranks in a skill until you are level 5, not 3.

CYMRO

Is a d6 sufficient for a prc that adds no pluses to its base's manifester level?

limetom

I'm not completely sure myself.

The one reason I felt it would be was because of the telekinetic lancet, a superior weapon for straight manifesters.

Bumping it up to d8 might make it too good of a PrC.

CYMRO

I do not think it would overpower the class.

Nor would +1 manifester level at 4/7/10.

limetom

Fair enough.  I'll bump the HD up to d8.  However, it was not meant to be a mainfester class (i.e. anyone who can meet the requirments can take it).

I thought about this and the mainfester thing isn't that bad of an idea.  If the character had manifester levels, they gain this.  If not, then they still gain all the stuff from the PrC.

limetom

Also, if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this more creepy/more evil, I'd appreciate it.

Wensleydale

It's good. Can they apply spells/powers such as the equivalents of magic weapon and greater magic weapon to their Lancets?
