I posted on the tavern but I can't tell if anyone replied because I can't load up all the old posts ...

So I'm here for the love! I'm so amazed that you all have become such a great community, in spite of my absense. I'm going to do my best to contribute again, so hopefully you'll all see me around here.

I'm still fine tuning my setting; I'm finishing up the mechanical stuff (which I'll be asking for help in the meta forum a lot in the next couple of weeks). Hopefully it will all be done soon so I can start building my webpage.

Fun fun fun.  It's good to see you here, Xeviat.  just a small request, could you edit the thread back at WoTC so that I'll actually be a member?  I've been making myself a celebrity here, but my name still isn't on the official list.  The setting is godswalk, and here's the link...

Again, it's good to see you.

Woo! Welcome back!

Xeviat

Natural 20 ... what number were you? Heck, forget the numbers; give me a quick description of your setting and I'll edit the thread as soon as I get it from you.

Alright, I think Xev certainly needs a hero cult of his own.  And I'm formally declaring myself leader of this cult now before anybody else can jump on it and wrest it away from me.

Now we can have religious wars!
My Setting:

Numinous

Yay!  Religious wars!  The cult of Ishmayl versus the cult of Xeviat!  Let the games begin!

anywho, my setting is godswalk, here's a description.

Egridar is a world where the gods who made the world and it's people became so distractd by their divine conflicts that they forgot to watch over that which they made.  Because the gods were failing in their duty, new deities have arisen in the world to care for the people.  Unfortunately, the two generations of gods are now at war.  The scary part is, they walk among us.

I was #49, as per request if you recall.

I am not divinity. I do not sanction my worship!

On a side note, I recently created a new religion for the "lower material world" in my campaign setting, which consists of three different material worlds. The divinity of the religion is a several millenia years old Vampire Lord who runs the largest wizard's guild on the continent/world. So many people followed his leadership (his guild is the center of a grand city, which he also rules) that they began to worship him, and he awoke as a deity (my setting is animistic, so anything given enough reverence can become a deity). He doesn't sanction his worship, but he doesn't fight it either. His domains are Evil, Death, Knowledge, Magic, and Law, so he's kind of like Vecna in ways. Currently have a player who will be running a Templar character following him in my evil campaign.

Fun stuff.

No, you aren't a divinity.  You receive divine honors as part of a Hellenic hero death-cult, though.  It's all quiet classical.  Tasteful, really.  There are wine libations and sacrifices of animals too.

Whatever happened to coconut drinks?
Oh, how we danced and we swallowed the night
For it was all ripe for dreaming
Oh, how we danced away all of the lights
We've always been out of our minds

Hey me too!! :drunk:

That is why our coconut drinks here on the Love Trireme only have paper umbrellas in them.
No actual alcohol.

I bring my own flask though...gotta be prepared for virgin drink shennanigans

Virgin drinks are the devil. I don't drink to get drunk, but oddly I like the taste of alcohol. Good alcohol, not that rubbing alcohol stuff some places try to sell.
