[ic=Behrem]"It is better if we find shelter now. The tower will do, if nothing else, there should be a snug place to sleep near there."[/ic]

[ooc]Is the tower near enough to reach it before dark? I don't want to be blundering around inside the complex.[/ooc]

[ic Faridoon]Responding to Rahine's question, Faridoon stops donning his boiled leather breastplate and says in a monotone voice "I agree that we need to get to the other side of the complex, but doing so in broad daylight would no doubt alert them. The tower(s) are perfect camping places, as you know, and if these outlaws have any sense, that's where they'll be. Behrem and the coward might be able to make it undetected, but it's still a heavy risk. Better to wait until night to cross the open sands. We'll be invisible as long as we carry no light and we'll be able to make it before dawn."[/ic]

[ic=Hyaled]The priest thinks for a moment.

"But what about Desert Night?"[/ic]

Raelifin

[ic Faridoon]Quizzically eying the "priest," Faridoon asks simply "What about it?"[/ic][ooc]Think I should color my speech text?[/ooc]

snakefing

[ooc]Question: What is the state of the moon? Moving around at night will be a lot easier if there's some light.[/ooc]

[ic]"It is cold. And... strange creatures are said to roam the darkness at the command of the unenlightened."

He shakes his head.

"They are fools' stories. But I do not like wandering in the dark when there are children of Ahriman's teachings around..."
[/ic]

Raelifin

[ic Faridoon]"Then you can stay here with the coward and hide from your destiny like a toad. The night journey is the safest, for our surprise is our greatest strength. Speaking of which, someone will need to track the monk for at least a short time to make sure he does not warn our prey."[/ic]

snakefing

[ic=Behrem]"If you want to keep an eye on the monk, I'll follow him for a while. But how should I find you again? If you are traveling at night without lights?"[/ic]

Wensleydale

[ic=Hyaled]His face turns purple.

"You're calling me a coward?" He roars, his shouts echoing around the surrounding buildings.[/ic]

Raelifin

[ic Faridoon]Faridoon ignores Hyaled and tells Bahrem "If we end up waiting for dark, we can wait for you to return to us. I suggest you only track the monk for a short time, he's unlikely to pull any tricks. If he is going to warn them, you must stop him at all costs, otherwise you can return to us here early."

The hulking man takes one of his many camel bladders from the side of his mule and removes the wax seal.

"We need your skill, Behrem, so if we choose to wait until dark, I give you my oath that we will not leave until you return."

Turning yo Hyaled, Faridoon stares at the clergy and states "Priest, I did not insult you. I simply suggest that if you are afraid of the dark, you had best stay behind."

Faridoon waits for a response while quenching his dry throat.[/ic]

Wensleydale

[ic=Hyaled]The equally heavily-built man seems to calm down a little.

"Let us not insult our faith by arguing, friend."

He clicks his tongue to his mule.

"We shall camp here, then?"[/ic]

Raelifin

[ic Faridoon]"That is my suggestion, though I would know the thoughts of Rashine before unpacking."
Faridoon looks passively at the warrior while sealing his waterskin.[/ic]

snakefing

[ic=Behrem]"No need for oaths and swearings, my friend. I trust you'll wait if you can. If something happens, I'll try my best to track you down. Just leave a sign or something for me to follow."

With that, Behrem begins to prepare himself, ensuring that all his buckles and straps are affixed and tight, and grabbing a blanket roll in case he is stuck in the desert for some reason. Then he proceeds to follow the path the monk left by, being careful not to be too obvious.[/ic]

[ooc]Whatever happens can be handled by PM or spoiler blocks as needed. I anticipate only being gone for an hour or so, maybe less. Just long enough to determine the general path the monk is taking.[/ooc]

[ic=Rashine] So we're staying here and not going to the tower? Are you seriously that scared? I say the lot of us go to the tower. Behrem should follow the monk. I can spy on our foes. The rest of you wait at the tower. We can attack at the crack of dawn as they break camp, if you're not too frightened to catch an unsuspecting foe off guard. We have the best information we'll get on them now. By morning, they'll have moved, and might possibly recieve warning. We can't wait for that. We must start our preparations now.[/ic]
[ooc]Seriously, no more stalling. We've got to confront these guys sooner or later. I say, rather than stall, we at least prepare.[/ooc]

What?
England.
Just a conspiracy of cartographers, then?
