Hehe, sure! I just want it to be something that harmonizes well, rather than clashes. You know, not to get into the "two parties on the same day" syndrome.
Or we overlap the content, too. Since it's a festive one-shot there's no reason not to get a little crazy.  :weirdo:

Asuras running around the Cadaverous Earth? Tempters corrupting the virtuous people of the Prismatic Imperium? Demons, Succubi, Faeries and Revenants as crazed movie monsters?  :yumm:

HA!  That could get pretty whacky!

I'm basically going to be AFK from about 1:30 PM Pacific (4:30 PM Eastern) to about 5 PM Pacific (8 PM Eastern) on Halloween, so that might be an ideal time to run a Grindhouse Grimdark session, if we did want to avoid clashing.

I was thinking characters inspired by all of the above, but even "mundane" killers would be larger-than-life and virtually invincible, or at least damage-resistant.  Each character would have a gimmick and powers, probably similar to the way I handled powers in Tempter.  Each would probably also have a key weakness of some kind.
How about this one:

- A paranormal/fey shapeshifter that changes it's appearance each time it kills, assuming the form of the latest victim. It can then convincingly masquerade as one among the prey it hunts, although certain hints (odd reflection on a mirror, animals going apeshit near it, etc) might reveal it or rouse suspicion. Murder is the only way it can shapeshift, and if it waits too long before claiming a fresh victim it will slowly morph back to it's true form - a faceless, featureless humanoid.

I didn't get the chance to actually read this until just now, but this sounds awesome!  I would be willing to play in just about anything suggested, though I'm admittedly less interested in Tempter than the others.  In a Zombie game, it would have to be something where you ration supplies and have to keep close track of bullets, strength of fortifications, supplies of food and water, etc.

But yeah, a horror-themed game of any sort sounds fitting and fun.  Of course, this also gets me thinking about one-shots that would be appropriate in my own settings.   The Wild Hunt could make an interesting game, as could horror involving spirits like banshees and the Dullahan (an Irish Headless Horseman).  But I'm game no matter what happens.  I don't have particular plans as of yet, but I suppose something that's not too early in the morning would be better.

I might consider it.  I was looking forward to being a player though.  There'd have to be more than one going on in the day, so that I could get both in.

I'm not opposed to running a One-Shot, as long as I can play in yours too.  They'd just have to be at different times.
