The CBG has had something of a lull in activity recently, but no longer, it would seem.   :whoa:

We have two new IRC Pathfinder games starting up. Fimbulvinter, a pseudo-Scandinavian adventure in the frozen north being run by Steerpike, and The Circle of Punishment, a tale of gladiatorial combat and intrigue, being run by Xathan. If you like IRC games and you like Pathfinder then they are definitely worth looking into.

If you'd prefer a slower pace over IRC's realtime chat, there is also a PbP game starting based around medieval Roman politics called The Republic Reborn, being run by Polycarp.

Phoenix has published a book, called Children of Sun and Moon, available as a Kindle ebook via amazon.com. I can personally attest that I read an early version of this and I found it quite good.

Xeviat, the resident captain of crunch, continues work on his crunchy Xev20 system, so if you enjoy crunch, you might want to hop in on that, as well.

And, of course, we have lots of new settings, discussions, and other posts popping up all the time, so find something interesting, and dive in.  :yumm:

Sparkletwist recommending a CBGer's book... that makes me even more interested to see Phoenix's sample chapter (or ~9 pages) when a sample comes out (I realize the book is out) because Sparkletwist has discriminating taste.

And congrats to Phoenix on getting his book in a format prepared for publication!

Hey, Light Dragon, thanks!

You can actually download a free sample from Amazon for any Kindle book--I think it's 10%. For me, it comes out to about 30 pages in manuscript format (which roughly resembles the page length of a paperback).

Thank you for the link to the preview- I had seen the amazon page earlier but I had not seen the preview link.

That's a very generous page count for a preview.
