I've been away for a while again.  Now that I'm back, it seems that this place has become less active.

I was wondering if there was a reason for that.  I'm not afraid that this place will fade away at all, just that it's slowing down.

I think we can safely blame Thanksgiving for the inactivity of a lot of our American members, to be honest. I may be wrong, but I know I've been absent due to holiday-related activities over the past few days. I've also got a lot of papers due and finals looming on the horizon, so my activity will continue to be sporadic (this isn't even touching on my other projects, none of which, sadly, are world-building related). I haven't been doing a lot of campaign-related work since my real life group collapsed, but hey, you never know when inspiration will hit.

Holiday is often an odd time for this. Most American schools have their terms ending soon, so those who are in school will have exams, papers, and the like. On top of that, there's travel and holiday obligations for most.

Those of use who aren't in school tend to be a bit burdened by the holidays too. Extra cooking, travel, host obligations, etc. Plus, the holiday period is usually pretty chaotic around our office, as people struggle to finish things up before the holiday interruption makes progress impossible.

Hopefully things will return to normal later.

I would like to interject that even if you do not have "real life" (like me) you may not be active simply due to a lack of ideas to post.
I'm a muck-levelist, I like to see things from the bottom.

A lack of ideas is NO EXCUSE!
When was the last time you saw a fresh idea on network TV?  That doesn't stop the networks from filling their airtime with plenty of content.
Sure it is mostly regurgitated trash, but...
