Would an hour later work better for everyone?  Or would that inconvenience some people?

Also - this is slightly embarrassing - I may have to switch the scenario again  :P.  I'm not 100% happy with my notes for "A Few Tentacles More" yet (didn't get as much time to work on them as I wanted) but I have a backup scenario...

True Gristle

[ic=Briefing]Ashley Crow's old partner on the force, Deputy Sheriff Rosamund Legrasse, has contacted the ex-lawwoman asking a favour.  For weeks Legrasse has been investigating the disappearances of local vagrants and prostitutes in the Chauchatown district of New Arkham; she believes that the tcho-tcho Tongs active in the area are somehow linked to the missing persons.  Unfortunately, Legrasse has been suspended from the NAPD pending investigation, after a packet of Black Lotus extract was found in her locker; she claims she was framed, though she doesn't know by whom.  Of course, Legrasse is intent to close the case anyway.  To this end she's requested her former partner's aid, and some of Ashley's associates aboard the Demoiselle d'Ys have volunteered to help.

You have agreed to meet Legrasse at the Gibbering Dragon Teahouse just inside the main gate of New Arkham's Chauchatown to go over the details of her investigation so far.  The district has an ill reputation: the most prominent Tongs - the Shugoran Tong, the Yidhra Tong, and the Caug-Narfagn Tong - control the streets, grown wealthy off gun-running, racketeering, drug-dealing, and brothel-keeping.  Their frequent and bloody turf-wars both with each other and with the myriad gangs, crime syndicates, cartels, cults, and other organizations that constitute New Arkham's undercity leave the labyrinthine alleyways saturated with blood.  Despite its bad reputation the district is still a relatively popular destination for tourists and travellers: prostitutes and drugs both legal and illegal (most prominently opium, Liao, Throwback, and Mindsplice) are widely available, and there is a thriving black market in other goods as well.[/ic]

I'm ok with either time in theory.
I've been rather sick so depending on how I feel I might make it or not.

Ghostman

Starting an hour later shouldn't be much of a problem for me.

Works for me with either game and the time situation actually makes it easier for me. Also sparkle, I know how you feel about being sick, caught something myself. On the plus side I swapped my Sunday off with a coworker for their Wednesday so I get Halloween off.

Let's start an hour later then.  This one should be fun - I'd kind of forgotten how much of it I already had written.  It's still very Sixguns/Space Western, but with a hint of Bladerunner or Neuromancer.

We can divvy up characters at the start in case people want to change their selections.  While Father Blake and Ramsay Olmstead were important for "A Few Tentacles More" this one might be good with Ashley Crow and Sonya Choden.

O Senhor Leetz

Hour later works great. I'm going to attend a lecture about an hour before we start, so I maaaay be a little late, I hope that's no big deal.
Let's go teach these monkeys about evolution.

BTW, here's the new PC I'll be playing. So that you guys don't have to wonder who the hell that punk of a goat-man is :D

[spoiler]

[ic=Qorayel]
The being that calls itself Qorayel is an infrequent sight aboard the Demoiselle d'Ys, parting and rejoining it's crew haphazardly, rarely staying for very long. With his pair of horns, thickly matted body hair, hooved legs and a disturbingly wide, bestial mouth, Qorayel would be unique enough in appearance to set him apart from the 'common' species populating the civilized space. As if to complement (or perhaps downplay?) these natural features, his goatish form has been extensively adorned with a bewildering display of body modifications both functional and purely decorative: innumerable piercings in the oddest of places, cybernetic implants of metal and fibreglass, throbbing and squamous symbionts attached here and there, tattoos of inscrutable glyphs in coiling patterns where his flesh isn't covered by fur. His clothing, or what passes for it, is every bit as extravagant: a vest of maroon-dyed dhole-skin studded with tiny metallic spikes, a great flamboyant sombrero with a myriad charms, baubles and gewgaws dangling from the rim, and a gaudy holster belt fitted with conspicuous codpiece.

Personality-wise he is a carefree and boisterous spirit, quick to laugh and quick to anger, but also quick to forgive. As far as Qorayel is concerned, life is to be lived in the heat of the moment and past troubles are best left buried. He is curious by nature, eager to explore uncharted realms and poke his head in places man wasn't meant to go. His attention span tends to be too short to explore things in much depth, however. A shameless hedonist, he blows his earnings on women, booze, a variety of drugs and luxuries as soon as the dough grazes his palms. As a result he is perpetually broke and/or in debt.

Though he never speaks of his origins, Qorayel is a being from the Dreamworld: one of the almost-Humans originating from the abhorrent frozen plateu of Leng. As is the lot of his kin, Qorayel was born to slavery under the tyranny of the dreaded Moonbeasts. While most of his brethren are selected to be used as either food, labour or as traders to traffick with the manfools of Dylath-Leen, Qorayel was among the few born and bred for the life of a pit-fighter, destined to slay and die in gladiatorial combat for the amusement of his Moonbeast masters. To this end he was brutally drilled from young age in all the myriad crafts and ways of bloodshed, trained to kill and maim not merely with efficiency, but also with gruesome flair and spectacle. In this ghastly work he excelled, though he resented his fate.

An opportunity to escape from a life of endless bloodshed presented itself to Qorayel when the pleasure-barque of his masters was assailed by a pack of Ghouls upon the shores of the Cerenarian Sea. The Man-of-Leng took advantage of the ensuing chaos to jump ship and fled into the Jungle of Kled. By accident or destiny, he stumbled upon a crack in the veil of dreams, leading out of the Dreamworld and into the universe beyond. Hearing what he thought were sounds of pursuit, Qorayel took his chances and plunged through the yawning gap into the unknown, emerging in the waking world. Within this strange new reality he has put his talents to good use, adapting the principles of his combat training to newer tech and weapons. Leading the life of a wandering vagabond scoundrel, he has tried his luck as a hitman, a smuggler, a bounty hunter, a space-pirate, and a mercenary.

Qorayel's first contact with Gideon Carter came about on a mining outpost in Lomar Sector: he was on the run from the enforcers of a local syndicate boss due to unpaid gambling debts and a liaison with the man's daughter, and was desperately looking to secure a quick ride to somewhere far away. The selfsame crime syndicate was blackmailing a Cytheran ambassador by keeping his favored concubine hostage; Gideon's crew had been hired to rescue the girl. When Qorayel learned of the captain's mission, he offered his help and knowledge in exchange for a passage aboard the Demoiselle.

Qorayel is a highly skilled pistolero and melee combatant. His trademark weapons include a pair of Pickman P60 metaplasma coil pistols wielded akimbo, and an Armitage Model IV "Electrocutioner" energy whip, although he has at least some familiarity with a wide range of arms, and is capable of employing just about any portable object as an effective improvised weapon. His style of fighting, owing to his gladiatorial background, is quite flamboyant and mobile - emphasizing speed and accuracy but lacking in sheer force. Despite his brutal past and aggressive bravado, Qorayel is a rogue at heart and prefers to employ trickery and charm before resorting to violence. Due to his vigorous libido he is at a risk of being distracted or provoked to rash actions when in the presense of attractive females - a weakness that has almost cost him his life more than once aready.

I normally work Wednesdays so the 14th would be tough on me. I can still do it as I work nights so I won't say no way (especially not if it would work for everyone else) but if we could do a Monday or Tuesday that would be ideal for me.

TheMeanestGuest

Monday evening and Thursday afternoon (EST) are the only times that definitely do not work for me.
Let the scholar be dragged by the hook.

Ghostman

Mondays are pretty much out of question for me. Any other weekday is possible but I'd rather it's not a Tuesday.

Wednesdays aren't ideal for me either, but there's no reason I can't make it work given this much advance notice. So I guess it's fine for me.

Nomadic

I work Wednedsay-Saturday. I can do Wednesday as long as the game ends early enough. I can't do Thursday-Saturday at all as I work earlier on those days and based on how long the last game went I'd run well into my work time. I can also do Sundays. So for me

Ideal: Sunday-Tuesday (any time at all)
Rough: Wednesday (if game ends before 7:00pm PST)
Impossible: Thursday-Saturday

(I'm also subbing for someone the 18th so that's a no go unfortunately)
