I might be interested in doing something though I'm not sure what things I could bring to the table that anybody here wouldn't be bored out of their mind listening to.

I think it loses some of its immediacy that way. I'll put in a formal vote for a 4 day con, but I'm fine with an 8 day con if that works better for people.
Alternatively, I'd support your month-long con if it involved something like a few scattered dates: Week 1: Fri, Sat; Week 2: Thu, Fri, Sat; Week 3: Wed, Fri, Sun, rather than having- oh, an event on the 1st, and one on the 5th, and one on the 10th, with everyone scheduling willynilly. (It also is easier for a scheduler to realize that- oh, the general days we will have events  are only on Fridays, etc.; or no event before 5PM EST; otherwise it is a bit more of an ordeal to work out the individual schedules of game players [see the long discussions on setting a date in the Sixguns game and etc. for one-off and non-weekly games already]) and I would like to schedule events 'against' each other instead of them being sequential, especially if one is on IRC and the other is a voice chat-people could actually attend two at once.

It's not a huge deal to me- if that's what people want, and that's what is needed to succeed, then okay. The introduction of Skype or Mumble makes the 'con' events a lot different from our usual IRC get togethers, so it is enough a departure from the site's modus operandi at large :). I just think a shorter time frame would be more successful, but I certainly could be wrong.

If I'm setting up schedules also a FYI, I won't be able to dedicate a lot of time to the project between Feb 15 and the 28th, but after that, I should be able to help out.
