History
The world is dying. The once vibrant soil is turned to dust in the blistering heat of the sun, its broken people building hermetically sealed cities to survive the blazing caress of the twin suns. Inside the cities are millions and millions of refugee humans. A path had opened to this world. Scientists had long had the technology, but it took the desperation of war to perfect and utilize the Janus system. It was created to exploit natural resources, but as war shattered the fragile earth, the refugees poured into the prototype portal to arrive in a lush new world of sprawling jungles and plains. Colonies spread and grew, and the nation that controlled the portal began to win the war. The stalemate became a slaughter, and as the winning nations troops stormed the capital, a shockwave rent the earth. Small comets lit up the sky before blossoming into nuclear suns. The earth was sterilized in only a moment, the atmosphere burned by the awesome apocalyptic power of the atomic arsenal. The blast ripped through the portal, tearing and destabilizing the dimensional rift. It reached Eos as a focused blast of energy that climbed skyward, burning through the atmosphere. The destruction was total. Searing light burned swaths of destruction. The atmosphere repaired, but it was weak and feeble. The scattered and weakened survivors found themselves in a desolate world, the last remnants of the human race.
The Last War
6000 years have passed since the Janus Incident and much of the history surrounding the calamity has faded into obscurity. In the vacuum of power rose a number of states, all vying for control over the scattered oasis' of their burned world. After millenium of war, only four powers are left to fight for final dominion over the last habitable continent.
The Nomads
A new chapter in human evolution, the nomads are uniquely adapted to Eos. They have formed bonds with the creatures and plant life that survived the calamity and developed a new and startling power: Psionics. Shunned by the Autarchy and Confederacy and ignored by the Goliaths, these cunning superhumans are scratching an existance from the unforgiving wasteland and moving towards acquiring the world that is theirs by right of birth.
The Autarchy
Leader: The Autarch
Capital: Ahvir Nehresh, commonly called Nehresh
Population678 million
Description: The Autachy is a powerful empire of interconnected cities plagued by hostile nomads. Each city is a self-sufficient self-contained environment designed to provide for every need of its citizens. They do need raw materials, however, and so small communities exist "outside the grid" called rigs. The Rigs gather raw materials such as ores and fuels for the consumption of the cities. The rigs are a rough-and tumble group populated by criminals, outcasts and prospectors collectively called riggers. They wear beaten shield gear and military surplus and generally only have ratcheters ( 3 shot burst railguns that use larger ammunition). They create much of their own gear, but are given decommisioned military ordnance vehicles to haul gear and supplies. The utility rail lines go to stop points called drops where rigger towns and trade posts are usually located. The cities are posh and modern, but are considered too "sterile" by rigger standards. The Guild, which develops and produces ALL technology in the Autarchy, controls everything.
Key Ideas
The Autarch: Almost mythical in stature, the 6,000 year old Autarch is preserved by transfering his consciousness to a new cloned host preserved by gene modification and bio-enhancements. He appears in public encased in a polished steel skin with a faceless mask.
The Guild: An omnipotent organization that runs every aspect of the Autarchy. It started as a powerful corporation, but came to control EVERYTHING with an autarchal monopoly on technology. Army officers, public officials and anyone of any importance is required by law to be a member of the guild, whose regulations are outside Autarchal control.
Rigger: A citizen of the Autarchy that exists outside guild control and lives outside the enormous cities.
Rig: A small community or colony independant of the rail system. They usually generate their own miniature atmospheres to shelter riggers from the dangers of the waste.
Ratcheter: Developed by riggers as anti-personnel weapons for defense against nomads, these homebrewed weapons are coming under union contract as a "militia" weapon. They were adapted from industrial magnetic rams (jackhammers) to fire bolts at gun velocity. Since the ram was not designed for continuous propulsion, it only held ammunition as long as its bit. this came out to be a maximum of 3 bolts per load, which were front-loaded using the bit changer, a ratcheting device that gave the gun its name. Its ammunition does double the damage of standard railguns, but takes 1 round to reload.
Damage:3d8

Thanks, I actually designed all of this for an online RPG that fell through. Thankfully i retain all rights to my material since it was stopped at the developmental stages. If I get any interest i'd like to run a d20 future PBP campaign with it. It'd be my first d20 rules campaign though, so i'd need a co-DM that knew the mechanics better.

The Union
Leader: The Stand-Up Man (Lucain Valendorjia)
Headquarters: Mobile
Membership: 80,000 members
Area of Influence:
Description: After a series of Guild sanctions against the rigger communities for trading military equipment to the nomads, the rigger communities created the Union. The union has functioned as a largely illegal corporation for over 40 years now, building cheaper and more reliable equipment for the rigs to outsource the guild and give independant rigs a fighting chance in resisting Guild control. In rigger communities, the union acts much like the mob, Unionists shave their heads and sport a hammer tattoo somewhere on their body, and usually travel on wailers in gangs. Foremen and Representatives are usually fashionable and in vogue with city fashion while living in large union buildings. The Union has recently bought a large order of decommissioned sand tanks and support vehicles for refitting as a new Union militia.
Key Ideas
Wailer A single rider encapsulated motorcycle that generates lift using electromagnetics. Many of them are custom made or built from scratch as guild built wailers have been lovingly nicknamed "Failers".
Viper Tank: A state-of-the-art active camouflaged tank that fires either aerosol bomb flachete rounds or slings "barrels", huge metal canisters that erupt in a titannic blast of plasma energy. The sand tank is hermetically sealed and uses electromagnetic propulsion to navigate the harsh desert terrain.

RACES
Human[Earth](Homo Sapiens Sapiens)
The original settlers of Eos, humans came through the Janus Syatem to form support colonies to fuel war on earth.
Size:Medium
Speed: 30ft
Extra Feat:1 extra feat at 1st level.
Skill Bonus:4 extra skill points at 1st level and 1 extra skill point at each additional level.
Languages: Colonial plus bonus languages
Favored Class: Any. When determining whether a multiclass human takes an experience point penalty, his or her highest-level class does not count.
Psi:Non-Psionic

Terran[Eos](Homo Sapiens Praestans)
The Janus incident bombarded the surface of Eos with an intense U.V bath, killing most life. Most Humans survived in their protected colonies, but some were left in the wilds of Eos to adapt or die. What came out of their strangely excellerated evolution was a seperate race of humanoids. Terrans are uniquely adapted to life in the harsh wilderness of Eos. They possess vacuole type organs for storing water reserves and nictating membranes to shield against the brutal sun. None of these things are immediately apparent. terrans appear completely human until they are stripped naked, for terrans are hermaphrodites with societal gender roles rather than physical ones. Terrans are not so far advanced from humans that they cannot interbreed, but the offspring, called Herim, are sickly and sterile.
Psi:Moderately Psionic
Varghost [Artificial](Homo Valens)
Engineered from scratch by the Guild, Varghosts were meant to be supersoldiers. They were built to be psionically sensitive and impressionable, sterile and possessed of almost godly abilities. Five of the surviving seven Varghosts are cybernetically enhanced, supported by A.I combat computers and muscle enhancements. Varghosts are clearly inhuman from a great distance. From 100 yards away, all the observer can see is psionic distortion. closer examination reveals a lithe almost elven creature with elongated limbs and visible black veins. Their eyes are a glowing gold and their hair a vibrant red or deep black against the tansparent paleness of their skin.
Goliath[Semi-Artificial] (Homo Magnus)
As part of their supersoldier research, the Guild engineered a whole army of goliaths. These massive warriors were created from neanderthal and rhino genetics. Aggresive, massive and with a great memory for detail and superior smell, the guild thought it had found its military workhorse. These thick-skinned juggernauts were at first believed to be fairly stupid, but proved otherwise when they revolted and shut down the shields on a number of cities, scorching them clean. Goliaths began existance as gender neutral and infertile due to hormone restriction, but have since used genetic engineering and hormone doses to restore reproductive ability. Goliath males are the only goliaths most will ever see, for goliath females are reclusive. During pregnancy they carry up to six goliath males or one female and become completely immobile. When they are younger, goliath females are lithe and beautiful (even by human standards) psionic powerhouses capable of feats of strength and endurance impossible even to a male goliath.
Psi: Physically Manifested Psionics
Valheru[Native] (Corvus Supernus)
Valheru are small birdlike creatures that are on the verge of extinction.
So what happened to the post on advanced technology?  You even had pictures for it...Expanding on that can help people to see what life is like in your world.

I don't totally follow your races descriptions:
Terrans are different than humans?  Traditional it is a description applied to humans (or anything from Earth).
Is the descriptor describing what planet they're from?

So Varghosts are like androids?  With psionics?

I'm curious to hear a bit about these races.

I figured I'd flesh all the technology out first, stat and finish it before posting. The varghost are not andriods, just creatures that have an artificial evolution. Terrans are eosian humans, but are more commonly refered to as "nomads"

not my artwork, pillaged it off google. I had originally envisioned only an urban spider tank, but saw this and realized it had serious desert capabilities too.
