Agreed... and as far as the size goes, I like it a bit larger than before, just for detail's sake, but it's usually pretty hard 'round these parts to please everybody so I'll hold off before making any more changes.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Hope you like it here,
Just don't let these guys,

Which happens quite often,
Be annoying too,
And our hearts will soften.
CBG, CBG,
A great website for you and me,
Spinning webs, connecting dots,
Building campaigns, advancing plots.
Look out, here comes the CBG.

Is it cool? Listen bud-
It's got nothing but gamer blood.
Can it live on a thread?
Yes it can, it's never dead.
Hey there! This is the CBG.

CBG, CBG,
Friendly neighborhood CBG.
Wealth and fame, never seen-
Though they sound really keen.
To it,
Life is a great big campaign-
Wherever there's a campaign,
You'll find the CBG!
Yeah, I was brainstorming. No need to jump into the pantz quite yet. Let's figure out what we want before we do it. ^_^

Back in October, we had 8 rankings (0 through "5++"). As we moved to worlds it became my idea to raise the ceiling for long-time posters without adding more icons that newbies "didn't have." My suggestion for this was to add a new layer of ranking, represented by changing the color of the worlds to gold. Ishy said that there were only 8 ranks in total, so that plan didn't seem to be all that great. ElDo then came forward and stated that there were more ranks available. Whether there are 2 or more, I figured I'd re-state my idea for the sake of clarity.
Less than 50 posts: 0 worlds
50 posts: 1 world
100 posts: 2 worlds
250 posts: 3 worlds
400 posts: 4 worlds
700 posts: 5 worlds
1000 posts: 1 gold
1500 posts: 2 gold
2500 posts: 3 gold
4000 posts: 4 gold
7000 posts: 5 gold
---- posts: ADMIN
That's 12 ranks, no displacement for anyone except Ishy, who would get a mod rank. (anyone over 1000 at this point already has a different rank.)

I'm not saying we should adopt my idea (or that the numbers are right), but I figured I'd lay it out.

The worlds idea is great for the theme of the site.  Kudos.

I think Midas would have been upset if he turned the whole world gold, since he was pissed he couldn't touch stuff after a while.

I've a question, though: is the number of worlds based completely on total posts, or does it vary based on something else like post frequnecy.  I ask only because I was surprised I only had 2 skulls/worlds when we switched when I had been like 15th level before.  Or is it intended to scale, way, way up and that's why we now have so many grades?

Thread necromancy! (Don't we have a smiley for that kind of thing?)

I see nobody has recorded the current rankings yet. Volunteers?

Of course, it's very thematic and all for the turtle titles to stick around for quite some time (y'know, what with the slowness theme and all), but I think it's time for something new. The non-turtle creatures are complaining about racism.

I dunno, this seems like a step down from turtles... more like being on the same level as obscure LotR characters or something....
