Wow.  That end came out of nowhere.  Oh, very good.  Very short, but very good.  I was convinced of the narrator's love until the last.  And she's only 10?  Geez.  Excellent work.

It wasn't until the rereading that the significance of the phrase 'first time' in this context sank in.  Whose story is this, anyway???
