Anyone like Children of Bodom? I personally find that they are a truely great band. Combining Power Metal, Melodic Death Metal, and Melodic Black Metal all together in such a beutiful blend. The guitars are BEUTIFUL and the vocals are just WICKED!

I've never been a fan of this genre of music.

Children of Bodom are melodic death metal with various other musical genres mixed into them. They combine dark and screaming vocals with awsome keyboards, and definitly out-of-here guitars. The drums are realy good to. The band is definitly unique in the death metal industry.

I own a CD of theirs. However, I find it a little boring. Plus, I don't listen to music, cuz I'm lazy. Mur!
Eats brains here! Ugh!
That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.
"To obtain a deep, restful, and fulfilling sleep, you must first submerge yourself in your cyclopean city of hideous non-Euclidean geometries beneath the sea, and then let your body die. But don't worry! As long as you continue to emanate enough evil thought-energy to influence and control your many worshippers throughout the untold eons, they will resurrect you when the time comes. I guarantee it!"
Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive."

(as Stegosaurus) "We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land'."

(as T-Rex) "I think we should call it...your grave!"

(Stegosaurus) "Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"

(T-Rex) "Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh...now die!"

No! penury, inertness and grimace,
In some strange sort, were the land's portion. "See
Or shut your eyes," said Nature peevishly,
"It nothing skills: I cannot help my case:
'Tis the Last Judgment's fire must cure this place,
Calcine its clods and set my prisoners free."

Had to vote for the last option on principle.  I've never heard anybody describe "screaming vocals" as a good thing before now...

Yeah, I also tried to listen to them, but couldn't find anything.  I may check amazon.com later to see if they have some clips anywhere.

They definitly have tracks on Amazon. Easiest way of getting stuff is to DL it. I could post a song up.... or not. It seems these boards don't support attatchements.

Found a couple tracks (my school has free Napster), and I stand by my former opinion.  Call me an oppressive, tyrannical traditionalist (really, you would flatter me to do so ;)) but I simply prefer the era when lyrics were sung, not screamed or rapped.
My Setting:

me, i can dig screamed lyrics at climax or something, but probably  not as a general rule. most of my problem with rap, though, IS the lyrics:

"oh no, you;re surrounded by women who are all up on you just because you're so rich? you pitiful, pitiful BASTARD."

And calling you that is an insult to the oppressive, tyrannical traditionalists of the world :)
