Okay, here's how it works. The first poster lists a person, place, event, object, concept (fictional or not), or other word commonly associated with fantasy or science fiction, and the following poster must supply a word that begins with the previous poster's word's last letter. Words cannot be repeated (unless it gets to like, thirty pages or something, in which case it'd be ridiculous to expect no repeats), and try and be as creative as possible. Plural forms and modifications should be considered for all intents and purposes the same word, so try and think of something else.

Also, CBG-specific references are encouraged, be they poster names or settings.

I'll start:

Elves.
Oh, how we danced and we swallowed the night
For it was all ripe for dreaming
Oh, how we danced away all of the lights
We've always been out of our minds
-Tom Waits, Rain Dogs

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

"Then shall the last battle be gathered on the fields of Valinor. In that day Tulkas shall strive with Melko, and on his right shall stand Fionwe and on his left Turin Turambar, son of Hurin, Conqueror of Fate; and it shall be the black sword of Turin that deals unto Melko his death and final end; and so shall the Children of Hurin and all men be avenged." - J.R.R.
