[ooc=Notice!]As of now, this thread is a placeholder for notes and ideas as I develop the setting. A discussion thread will not be provided until I finish.[/ooc]
Quick Introduction
[note]Here begins the humble beginnings of my newest campaign setting: Tiabela. This campaign is inspired by lots of ideas I have had over the past year or so while I was away from the CBG as well as a few new ones. I am trying to keep as close as I can with Core d20 rules but due to the rather unusual nature of the setting itself (compared to classic fantasy settings) some house rules, modifications to crunch or brand new crunch will be needed. Enjoy![/note]Old World is shrinking as blank sections of the map are filled in by explorers and would-be conquerors. As the power of the mercantile nations begins to wane, strong families with private interests in the New Lands rise to power. Guilds and trading organizations find themselves in a similar state as trade routes become safer and more constant. But the New Lands are not without their wonder. Strange beasts unseen and mysteries untold lie in wait of brave adventurers and daring treasure seekers.

Class Overview
Ballisteer - A ballisteer is an expert in the use of ranged ballistic weapons such as the rifle, pistol and revolver.
Bard - Uses the art of song to summon magical power.
Brawler - A brutal fighter that uses his fists in stead of traditional weapons.
Fighter - No explanation needed.
Rogue - A flexible character role that could be the quintessential sneak, thief, party diplomat, or treasure hunter.
Wizard - Through intense and long study, the wizard has mastered the use of magical spells, but the use of magic is still taxing even for these seasoned veterans.

Mechanics Used
There are only a few house rules used to supplement this setting. Most of the major changes deal with the use of magic.

Spell Points + Vitality - Wizards and Bards use spell points instead of spells per day. They are physically wearied by casting spells, which is represented by the Vitality variant of the system.
Weapon Groups - With the addition of new ballistic weapons, I decided to change over to Weapon group proficiencies for classes instead of the standard method.
