I've experimented with a new cover design for Urbis. This is the first mockup:

What do you think? If this works well, I might use this layout for the entire line, using different illustrations and color schemes for different supplements...

I agree with your thoughts in that it could use something with a more fantasy element.  That said, I love the colors and the design.  It's very nicely made.

Jurgen, I think it's a very nice looking, as well as mature cover.  Did you do the art of the two people, or is that from somewhere else?  I could see them having a bit more of a fantasy flair to them.  Otherwise, I think it's a very good cover.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

I noticed on your enworld thread that you're using clipart and that you wish you could get a more fantasy feeling to the art.  There's a great website called ConceptArt where you can request free art and often people will be interested (much moreso than elfwood, deviantart, epilog, or enworld/WotC art threads).  You should check that out.

I agree, more of a fantasy element would probably be a winner.

Right now, to be honest, it looks kind of like a textbook...

I'm not really comfortable with asking people to do free art for what will end up as a commercial product... and I can't afford to pay anything at the moment.
