I'm undecided right now, but I'm looking at either a sociology or anthropology major.  Fitting for a world-builder, eh?
Previously: Natural 20, Critical Threat, Rose of Montague
- Currently working on: The Smoking Hills - A bottom-up, seat-of-my-pants, fairy tale adventure!

Eclipse

Very true on the fitting comment.

I'd argue that if you plan on writing anything, English is the best major, but I'm biased. :P
Quote from: Epic MeepoThat sounds as annoying as providing a real challenge to Superman: shall we use Kryptonite, or Kryptonite?

Jharviss

I'm English and Political Science, and I think those two are the best for world-building.

But I'll second Eclipse -- I'm bias.

Psychology and business did not do too poorly, either.  Sadly, Notice the past tense.

School's winding down for this semester with one exam to go.  Next semester, I'm taking the second half of Third Year Japanese, Articulatory Phonetics, Ethical Theory, and Intro. to Cultural Anthropology.

LordVreeg

Cultural Anthro is an absolute joy (from what I remember).

Although I've already admitted no college experience, much less Cultural Anthro, for some inexplicable reason, I can't help but think of the possibility that you purposefully forgot the rest...

Political Science definitely helps with the world building. But I'm also biased...

A Companion to the History of Economic Thought Biddle, Davis & Samuels.
This is a great book for taking your econ class and translating that class into game design framework.  This made me change almost all my guild-relationships (due to how they were affiliated) and forced my eventual decision to go to the 'electrum standard' in my world.
Money in Celtricia

Anything to make my economics class less boring is always a good things. Thanks, I'll definitely check that out.
