I haven't decided between a gnome druid or a raptorian sorcerer

which warforged race are you using? normal? scout? charger?

As has been mentioned, I don't get Races of Eberron until May, So I don't know precisely what I will be building yet.  When I get the books I'll tell you.

Ok I guess I will go with the gnome druid. Any information on gnome settlements would be helpful for making a background.

sorry, you might have misunderstood me. i wasn't saying "play a gnome druid", but just expressing that they are cool. If the choice was because You want to though, then just ignore that bit.

Anyways, gnomes, gnomes...

They are mostly scattered all over the country and have been very much integrated into the predominantly human nation of eltabar. the gnomes enjoy a spot of privilige in the nation, partially due to the fact that they are the main driving force between many of Eltabar's technological advancements of recent years, but mostly just because gnomes are freinds with everyone almost, and vice versa. in fact, during arguments and political situations, they are ofter brought in to act as mediators. most bars for example try to have at least a few gnomish regulars to help keep fights minimal.

Even though many gnomes are involved in technological developements (they did most of the work on the airships that are currently being tested, much of the work on gunpowder developement, and were the brains behind the warforged projects), this has caused a division in the community. the more gnomes that get engrossed in mechanical marvels, they more gnomes that decide they would be better served by going back to nature (perhaps to try and balance some of the damage their kinsmen are doing to it).

the gnomish homeland is that little island at the entrance to the inner bay (the little bulge sticking out of the borders of Eltabbar), but there are also large communities near the forests at the southern edge of the kingdom, as well as many farming communities in the north easter part, and many living in the large metropoli and any other centers of industry. The starting city is a good example of this and has almost a 20% gnome population. There are also large caravans that wander across the nation and there are many gnomes among their crew, as well as lots of gnomes working in the kingdom's fleets.

I was leaning towards the gnome druid, I only starting working on the Raptorian Sorcerer when Senke said he was doing a cleric

Alright, so the tentative date for starting is next wednesday (May 3rd).

Whenever you guys have a character mostly done (or partly done if you want) post a link to him here so others (myself included) know what we have in the party.

Ishmayl, could we get a yay or nay on your joining this sometime fairly soon.

If not,then anyone else who is interested just let us know (i'd prefer to have at least four characters). Actually, either way Ishmayl decides, more people can join if they want to, and I'll just up any EL's to fit the larger group.

Yay! I just got my hands on Spell Compendium and Complete Divine, so I can now make an Asherati Cleric instead of a Scout. ^_^ Sorry about the confusion, but I now have enough resources to make a very good divine spellcaster.

Guess I have to pull out the Raptorian Sorcerer again. Any information on Raptorian societies would be helpful. Senke you change your mind again and... :chair:

This may be something you don't really want to hear, but there will quite likely be about a half week delay on the start of the campaign. I do still really want to run it, but i have a lot of shit going on right now and have to sort myself out a bit before i commit to this new thing.

If there is a delay, a tentative start date is set as next sunday probably.

Also, i have no idea if Ishy is playng of not, so when i check with him, either he is, or we should try and recruit a new fourth. I'm still not totally decided on a number of characters, but any adventure is pretty flexible, so it can change.

Edit: Character sheet is complete and ready for inspection.  :hooray:  :clap:  I had him just arriving to Eltabar, because I did not know what we were suppose to be there for.

I didn't put in spell saves or anything yet because he's a Cleric, and I'll pick his starting spells when the campaign begins + will mention them in the first post.

Let me summarise the way i see it.

This is how it's going to go down. Currently we just have Neptune and Senkennomei availiable, but in about 2 weeks, we get Crit as well, and perhaps a friend of mine. Senk also may have some people to join, but whether they actually will is unknown. I have no problem running the campaign, minus a few people to start with and have them join later, but i would prefer to start with at least 3 PC's. So, if anyone else from the forums would like to join, or one of you guys knows someone (they can't be jerks. that's my only real criteria), then speak up and we can get this off the ground asap.
Or, if you have another idea of how to make this work, throw it up here.

Sounds good, but I didn't save my character and 3e is now down. I am hoping it comes back soon, and that the characters were saved. Tell me when you want to get started and hopefully I'll have Kaine remade by then
