I'm temporarily going to sticky this thread.

The Cebegia wiki has been left out in the cold since its inception. With all the Wiki activity here as of late, I figure it is time to give it a face lift. Since this is a community setting I come to the community for suggestions and ideas on how to make Cebegia the best wiki page on the CBG's Wiki.

Good luck!  We've got some real winners already in the wiki. :)

(Great idea, BTW)

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Nothing? :(

I've added this image as the icon for Cebegia and gave  the headings a maroonish background (stolen from Ishmayl's main page). So far I've only changed the mainpage. What do you all think?

Looks good!  And give it time, I'm sure some people will jump in.

Since LordVeeg has been diddling with the Pantheon Page of the wiki, I decided to diddle with the look of that page as well. What do you guys think of the subsections? Right now the subsection maroonish box goes only 80% the way across. Should it go 100% or maybe shorter?

Quote from: LordVreegI'd go shorter.
Now they are 40%

looks much better.  Very nice 'visual' divider.

I feel like the maroon background set at 40% looks tacky with it not tapering off.  I don't think you can taper it if you're just going with a full background.  Maybe if you made it thinner, gave it less height.  Not sure if you can.

I can make it thinner by shrinking the image, right now the image for the subsections is about 20 pixels high and wide. I'll shrink them some more so people can comment. EDIT: The icon is no longer the determining factor. That is as thin as I can get them.

I don't quiet care for the shorter boxes (I looked at them while I was editing the page and decided to go with bigger). If I find time I'm going to try one more thing (what I would have preferred in the first place)

Ok I didn't care for the subsections as boxes, so I've spent the last few days trying different things.

One was trying to add a gradient to the blocks, but wikipedia code thwarted me at every turn. For it to work I would have had to bother Ishmayl, which he offered to help, but if it didn't look good the first time I would have had to bother him again and again.

Then I fought with the code I stole from Ishmayl's main page. I couldn't get it small enough or make it look in a way I was pleased.

Finally I came up with something I like, and hopefully you all will as well. Panetheon

I also made this subsection heading into a template so no one has to look at the evil code behind it. To use just type {{CebegiaSS |heading=text here}}

Love it enough to steal.  The Pantheon page looks quite nice.

Check out the new subheading template if you want to steal it. It has a partially transparent gradient line.

I love the new gradient line.  That's a brilliant touch, visible and effective yet subtle.  Very nice!
