It has come to my attention that our little community isn't as integrated as it used to be. We all need to reconnect with our fellow world builders and forge new friendships, new rivalries and rekindle the old. To do this, I suggest we all re-introduce ourselves. Now I don't want this to be a simple 'Yeah my name's Bob and i come here on Tuesdays and my dog's name is Ralf." No, this thread is intended to help everyone get to know the real you.

Here are the rules:

1. The Person in the post above yours will ask a question.
2. You will answer the question.
3. You will then pose a question for the next poster.

ex:

Poster 1: "QUESTION: What's your favorite Internet Forum?"
Poster 2: "The CBG, of course. No where else in the whole of Internetland can I get as much help developing my campaign settings!"
Poster 2: "QUESTION:  What's your favorite Soda Drink?"

Ok, I'll start!

-- QUESTION:  What's your favorite canceled/off-air TV show?

SDragon

Does Family Guy count as a canceled show? :p

Seriously, though, I had a lot of family bonding time over The Simpsons and Married: With Children when I was growing up, and since The Simpsons is still running strong....

Edit-- Forgot my question. What's your favorite '90s video game (console or PC)?

Before you accept advice from this post, remember that the poster has 0 ranks in knowledge (the hell I'm talking about)

Steerpike

Halfing Fritos/SDragon can get first dibs at the next question if he likes... but my favorite canceled tv show is a tie between Firefly and Carnivale, which I'm currently watching and am totally enthralled by (I keep asking myself how I didn't watch this earlier, much as I did when I discovered Firefly).

I love the generic hybridity of Firefly, the Whedonesque dialogue, and the gorgeously implemented and delivered setting (Whedon is one hell of a world-builder).  In Carnivale, I love the densely layered symbolism, the mythology, the eerie and horrific elements, the fully-fleshed and believable characters, and the raw style of the show.

Edit: ah, HF must have edited his post while I was writing mine.

Elemental_Elf

My favorite Video Game of the '90s would have to be... God there's too many. I'd need to separate by generation and console... But for this question, I'll just state my favorite PC game of the era, that being - Space Bucks! Its a sci-fi video game that puts you at the head of an Interstellar FedEx. Your job is to go out and re-establish trading relations, and trading routes, with distant worlds. It was a fascinating game in that it was like Chess - simple to learn, hard to master. I love that game to death!

Which was better - Sega Genesis or the SNES?

XXsiriusXX

That is a tough one. Both systems were really good but I think I have to give the edge to SNES. I just believe that SNES had stronger titles the Sega. With games like Zelda III, Super Mario World, and Starfox I could just never find anything as good on Sega. Also, the fact that the SNES reintroduced the zapper as a bazooka scores major points.

Which comics are better DC or Marvel?

Elemental_Elf

Oh god Marvel for sure. Marvel has a huge stock of interesting super heroes and villains. DC just never appealed to me because its heroes and villains were so shallow. Batman is the only truly interesting DC character, with maybe the newer Aquaman being the other. Marvel just has better, more well rounded heroes that I can relate to. I especially love the Ultimate Universe marvel has created (as most can tell by my sig, lol).

If you could take a weekend trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Nomadic

Scotland of course, back to me roots. I am very proud to be a member of clan Morrison. Though there is alot to be proud of in that I feel.

What is your favorite fiction genre

limetom

My favorite fiction genre is postcyberpunk.

What do you think is the most interesting ancient civilization?

Nomadic

I like alot of ancient history so this is hard. I would have to say though that it's probably the mongols during the height of their power. They were quite advanced and yet open to other ideas and opinions.

What is your favorite dessert?

limetom

I like cheesecake.

If you had your choice, where would you retire?

Elemental_Elf

I would retire in Reno, Nevada (yeah where I currently live). I would do this because, in all honesty, its the greatest city in the country.

If you could have any Pokemon, which would it be?

limetom

I really, really, really wanted to say "a Mudkip."  But I decided to answer this one seriously.

I would probably pick Eevee.  Firstly, it's from the original list of one hundred fifty.  Secondly, I'd have lots of choices later on when I would evolve it with some radioactive rock I bought at a department store.

Do you speak any other languages other than English?  If so, which one(s)?

Kindling

I speak odd bits of several languages, probably French most of all. I used to have a regular French lessons and I was doing quite well, but my dad, who was teaching me, became very busy and we had to stop, and I have since forgotten most of it.

I was meant to learn Portuguese over last summer, but I never found the time.

What's the best musical act (live band, solo artist, DJ, orchestra, etc.) you've been to see live? By "best" I really mean the one you enjoyed the most.
all hail the reapers of hope

Ninja D!

Oh wow, that is hard.  I have seen so much.  Honestly, nothing could ever top Screaming Mechanical Brain in their prime, which would probably be last year.

What style of music do you like the most?

Llum

Favorite style of music at the moment is probably New Country or Trance, ether or.

What's your favorite book?
